The two kids arrived where Amelia and Damian were, along with Arthur, Zelena, and their 12-year-old daughter, Rea. “Your pie remains the best, Mrs. Castillo” Rea commented as she took a bite of the blueberry pie that Amelia baked herself. “Thank you,” Amelia said with a bright smile. “What about my pie?” Zelena said while pretending to be hurt. “Mother, your pie may not be the best but your cheesecakes will forever be my favorite!” Rea said and hugged her beloved mother.

The story had spread overnight, and the verdict was clear. Esther Hale had beaten Vanessa for the permanent assistant position. Vanessa sat at her desk with a rigid expression and didn't look up when I walked past. I felt the heat of her stare the moment my back was turned.

I was waiting for my prey. I’d baited the hook well enough. Sure enough, footsteps rang against the flagstones. Each step was quick, clipped, and angry. Esther stepped into the courtyard, white healer’s coat stiff in the breeze, a strand of auburn hair clinging to her damp cheek. Her hazel eyes were rimmed in red; the smear campaign had taken its toll. But there was still iron in her spine. “You started this,” she said flatly. “The articles. The tags. The lies.”

She is definitely one of the most talented and potential ballet contestants in this Americas region selection competition." Kate's voice rang out. "Um, I think so too. Anyway, Edna seems a bit difficult. Anyway, giving the contestants a little encouragement will make them more excited and confident." Karen said, her voice low but feminine.
