The King's Destined Love
Khanyi Mathayi
I listened to the water as it flowed, the sound and movement sending strong sensations throughout my entire body.
I listened to the cool wind as it brushed past my ears and blew at my hair, and then I listened to my heartbeat, trying my best to stay calm. And at last, I listened to them.
“Behold, Your Grace, nights are dark, but days will be darker! Rivers and grass will dry, and rain will be no more! The night is dark, but days will be darker! Open your eyes; open your eyes to the truth!” They sang.
I couldn’t figure out which one of them was speaking, and I couldn’t fathom the meaning behind their words.
