I almost laughed.
When Ethan arrived, he looked like he’d walked out of a sportswear campaign — dark fitted shirt, jacket slung carelessly over his shoulder, the same quiet confidence that made people forget he’d ever fallen.
He caught my eye, that familiar half-smile tugging at his mouth. “Morning.”
“Morning.”
“You okay?”
“Fine,” I lied.
The photographer clapped once. “Let’s start with a few warm-ups. You two facing each other, natural conversation, no posing.”
