Miller & Co, Writer’s POV: The evening descended swiftly, hastened by the overcast sky throughout the day. Most employees had already departed with the close of regular hours, leaving only those on the night shift who had recently arrived. Exiting Mr. Miller’s cabin, Richard informed Evelyn about the conclusion of his meeting. “His meeting is over, Ma’am. You can go in now,” he stated before heading towards the elevator. An irritated Evelyn entered her uncle’s cabin, only to discover him deeply engrossed in a conversation with Viaan.

Nina said, pulling over to let James Miller walk into the elevator, while Becky and Timothy followed behind them. Becky looked at her master with a puzzled look, but she nodded in the end. "Yes, Mr. Miller." The elevator dinged loudly, Nina stepped out, her hand holding the elevator button, waiting for the others to come out. "Mr. Miller!" called Becky impatiently making James Miller stop in his tracks and turn his head towards her with one eyebrow raised high.

And they didn’t just make one girl, oh no, they made two for the price of one, popping out twin girls as their final kids. Eluna Miller was the outgoing one, and by that, I meant that she was just never at home when she didn’t have to be. She was a typical teenage girl, loving to spend time with her friends and hanging out around town. Basically, anywhere was better than being forced to stay at home, and spending time with her older brothers.

Black Estates, America Evelyn had locked herself in a random cabin and was pacing back and forth like a mad woman. She wasn't asleep, she was just pretending. Taking the chance, Evelyn ran out of his cabin not caring about the weird glances which she was receiving by the people who were present in the hallway. She went inside a random room and locked herself inside it.

"Evelyn Marlowe," she said, extending a perfectly manicured hand. "I’m Mr. Kane’s head of acquisitions." My stomach twisted. Of course, she was here because of Alexander. I shook her hand, though I couldn’t help but feel wary of her polished demeanor.

That had been Robert Miller’s actual intention. The will that was filed, the one that left everything to Eleanor alone, was not the original. It had been changed. Not by my grandfather. By my father. Arthur Miller had been Robert Miller’s estate lawyer in 1984. He had handled the filing. He had been the one with access to the documents. And according to Daniel Reeves, who had spent four years inside the Miller Group specifically looking for proof of this, there was a copy of the original will in a safety deposit box in a bank in Connecticut under a name nobody had looked for because nobody had known to look.

I got a headache an hour later still with so many questions racing through my head. Thinking of such things wasn't going to help and I sat up straight on my bed. I picked up my laptop and googled the company Miller Inc. I froze immediately when the company's building came into view. Along with the achievements about the company in just a year and a half. And, looking down, I saw his photo. My breath hitched and raced up. The C.E.O of Miller Inc. Jack Miller.

The hunger that the house had turned into something else entirely. She deserved better than what she got. They all did. Evelyn picked up the new notebook. Opened it to the first page. The cream paper looked back at her. Clean and waiting. She picked up a pen. At the top of the first page she wrote: 'Margaret Harrow. 1874 — 1898.' She stopped. Looked at what she had written. Then she kept going. She wrote for three hours.
