Throughout the night, Emily just slept soundly on Death's lap. Death just watched her as she lies down comfortably and peacefully on the pew. From time to time he gently runs his finger on her face. The night went on until the sun says hello again. The light shines outside the chapel where a hearse is currently waiting. Everyone went on to their daily lives again. Emily finally woke up from her deep nap. Upon opening her eyes, she is greeted by the sight of Death's ominous face.

Ended wars. The room seemed to freeze around it. Nathan stepped forward. Every muscle in his body rigid. Every word precise. "You listen to me carefully." For the first time, even Mitchell went quiet. Nathan's eyes never left mine as he spoke. "Whatever happened to Olivia before she met me is none of your business." Mitchell laughed. "Everything we worked for." Ethan turned to the window. Outside, the night was black as his racing mind. He could feel it out there, the storm coming, some point of no return closing in, and them hurtling toward it.

“I was wrong, Ethan. I was really wrong. Please forgive me. I will never do it again.” There was no trace of mercy in Ethan’s eyes. His grip tightened. Olivia’s struggling weakened until she could barely move. Using the last of her strength, she forced out one final sentence. “Ethan… are you really going to kill me here? There are people everywhere. If you kill me… you will not escape either…”

Though Ethan hated the guy, he gave him business opportunities, just to make Rachel's life easier. Unfortunately, that man messed up a simple drug production, causing bacterial contamination. Many people died. Ethan had to clean up the mess, barely able to keep things under control. One stormy night, Rachel called him. She could not sleep because she was scared of the thunder. Her husband was away, and she asked him to come over. Ethan was still so obsessed with her that he actually drove out in the middle of a snowstorm. He was involved in an accident and died at 55.

(Olivia's POV) I handed Ethan the death certificate, watching as his eyes scanned the document. His face drained of color when he read the cause of death: kidney failure. "No..." he whispered, his powerful frame seeming to shrink before my eyes. The Alpha King of the Silvercrest Pack, the man who commanded respect with a single glance, now looked utterly broken. His amber eyes, usually so commanding, now pleaded with me. "Where is she buried?" His voice cracked. "Please, Olivia. I need to see her grave."

She turned and walked away, leaving Ethan standing alone in the living room. As she disappeared down the hallway, Ethan sank back onto the sofa, running a hand through his hair. For the first time in years, he felt like he was losing control, and he wasn’t sure if that terrified him or thrilled him. Hours later, Olivia sat on the edge of the bed in one of Ethan’s guest rooms, staring out the window at the city lights. Her heart was still racing, her mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions.
