"That bitch has definitely got to pay for this, and she's going to do so with her life!" She vowed, her eyes red from all the crying, she now had a murderous look in her eyes and she looked terrifying at the moment. Evie hurriedly went to search for her phone. When she found it, she placed a call to her most trusted ally, and he answered the call almost immediately.

"We need to distract it!" Xal'dar stared at her, his eyes reflecting a mixture of fear and admiration. "Distract it? How?" A surge of chaotic energy crackled around Evie's staff. "With everything we've got!" she shouted, her voice filled with a newfound determination. "Liam, you weaken the Devourer forces. Xal'dar, stay close and be ready to defend ourselves if it gets through. I'll try to draw its attention." Before either of them could protest, Evie channeled all her remaining chaotic energy into her staff. A blinding blue light erupted, splitting the darkness.
