I fell scarily on a couch behind me, I began to hear some horrendous sound after some seconds everywhere became bright and what I saw was the most terrifying animal I have ever seen. I felt like I'm watching a horror film. This is a bat in front of me but not just a bat, one side of it was a female vampire's face while the other side was a bat's face. This is damn scary. Her body trembled as a wave of panic surged through her. Suddenly, her skin began to crawl, literally. She gasped, clutching at her back, the spot where the mark had been made. It felt like something moved under her skin, like tiny, invisible tendrils were twisting beneath the surface. Cold fingers. Crawling. “Stop…” she whispered, her voice breaking. Emma willed her legs to move as she felt around for a wall. She hadn’t been able to see much of anything when she had first entered the crypt, and now that she was sealed in, she was surrounded by a stygian darkness. She bumped into something solid and stone-like, and immediately crouched down on the floor in a fetal position. Her body shook, her lips trembled and her mind conjured creepy-crawlies, fantastic monsters, and demons of all shapes and sizes. And they came, one and all in full force, to crawl over her skin, to nip and paw at her, and to literally pull her to pieces.

Before I can protest or ask for another moment to try, she grabs my arm and drags me toward another location in this bizarre landscape. As I open my eyes, the full scope of our peril becomes devastatingly clear. The creatures are so extremely close now that I can see the individual details of their corruption—the way their flesh hangs in ribbons from exposed bone, the writhing darkness that fills their empty eye sockets, the teeth that seem to exist in multiple dimensions simultaneously. Their numbers are absolutely terrifying, far more than I initially realized, with new forms emerging from the mist in every direction like a plague of supernatural locusts.
