No Present, No Apology, Just Divorce

No Present, No Apology, Just Divorce

The birthday gift that I've given to my wife, Jasmine Gunner, is discovered inside a kennel by the streets. Because of this incident, I get made fun of by the entire elite circle in Harborough. It's Jasmine's birthday once again. Everyone teases me, saying that the gift I've prepared for her must be the most expensive one again. "As expected of the fashion sense of someone who's struck it rich all of a sudden. He thinks that the more expensive something is, the better it must be." "I wonder which kennel it will appear in this time." The scions continue laughing among themselves. But soon, they realize that I've never given Jasmine a single thing for her birthday. In fact, I never bother showing up even though Jasmine's birthday party is coming to an end soon. "Henry, where's my birthday gift? Also, you're being very unscrupulous! To think that you've missed out on my birthday the whole day! Do you have any idea how stormy my family looked earlier?" Jasmine glares at me, her expression dark. I rake my fingers through my messy hair, finally remembering that today seems to be Jasmine's birthday. "Sorry, I've completely forgotten about it. I'll have my assistant pick out a gift for you tomorrow to make amends to you." The swirling emotions in Jasmine's eyes dissolve instantly. She looks at me as though she can't believe what she just heard. "What did you just say?"

The Real Heroine of His Proposal

The Real Heroine of His Proposal

Back when we were still in love, I heard from someone else that Charlie Grant had been getting unusually close to his secretary. He never offered an explanation. He let me dig for the truth on my own. Over the past five years, I quietly collected countless photos of them together—having lunch, leaving late-night meetings, even traveling for business—but none of them offered conclusive proof of cheating. Until the day he proposed to me. There was a giant screen set up. It was supposed to play a romantic video Charlie had prepared just for the proposal, but the screen suddenly cut to something else. A video of Charlie at a hospital, standing beside his secretary as she underwent a pregnancy check-up. In the video, the doctor clearly referred to Charlie as her husband… and the father of her child. His secretary burst into tears on the spot and apologized to me repeatedly. She sobbed as though she were the victim. Charlie, however, stood there with a cold expression and said flatly, "She's an unwed mother. She was helpless. I was just accompanying her for the checkup. The doctor must've misunderstood." Everyone braced for a dramatic scene. However, I didn’t scream. I didn’t cry. I only reached up and slowly removed the delicate flower hairpiece from my head. I set the hairpiece down. Then I looked Charlie in the eyes and spoke calmly. "You're right. It is sad that she’s pregnant and all alone. "This marriage proposal was meant for her. Not me." I gave a faint smile. "May you enjoy a blissful life. And… congratulations on the baby."

Wonda
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved how the story kept moving. I laughed throughout, with the exception of Tina and Liam's story. That one broke my heart. I'm happy it all worked out. I like how Tina's son is asking questions just like she did. I wouldn't mind reading Ethan and Nathan's stories.

Win His Ex-Wife Back!

Win His Ex-Wife Back!

He kissed my cheek and then pulled away from me, taking my legs, and spreading them wider, seating himself between them. The tip of his member teased my entrance before slowly, he pressed into me. The first thrust caused me to squeeze my eyes shut and exhaled sharply as the pain spread over my entire body. When I opened my eyes again, I could see that Arnold had a worried expression on his face. But then he continued, aiming another thrust. As he stared at me with concern, I saw in those cobalt blue orbs how he loved me… my sister actually. As I observed him exerting control over himself in an effort to prevent him from pushing all the way inside of me or ramming into me, sweat began to trickle down his forehead. It appeared to me that he was having just as difficult as I was, and seeing that gave me some solace. Because of the agony and the pitying feelings I had for myself, a tear trickled down from the corner of my eye. I ought to have lost my virginity to the man I love… to the man who will vow to marry me… and not to the man who already belongs to my sister. After he managed to compose himself, he rolled onto my side and buried his face into my neck while I remained unmoved, staring at the ceiling. What have I done? I gave my virginity to my sister's boyfriend for the sake of money.

Love Ends at Christmas: A Holiday to Say Goodbye

Love Ends at Christmas: A Holiday to Say Goodbye

On Christmas Day, I put on a reindeer-themed lingerie set, ready to spend an unforgettable night with my CEO boyfriend. Noah Levine eagerly unbuttons my top, kissing my body with feverish intensity. Just then, his phone rings. He answers impatiently. "What is it?" A sweet voice comes through from the other end, speaking in Farylian. "Noah, what time are you coming tonight? I have a Christmas present for you." Hearing those words, my eyes fly wide open. That woman is my younger sister, Heidi Miller. Noah's expression turns serious, like he's handling a work call. He responds in Farylian. "What present?" The voice on the other end laughs softly. "The present is me, wrapped head to toe in red ribbon. Come over and help me unwrap it. I can't wait anymore." That night, Noah doesn't touch me. He helps me dress, kissing my cheek with reluctance. "Work call. Something urgent at the company I need to handle. We'll pick this up another time. "Remember to wear this outfit next time, though. It's very enticing." His lie sounds calm and natural. He clearly assumes I don't understand, but I know Farylian. I hear everything crystal clear. I pretend to nod calmly. After he leaves, I accept the company's overseas assignment. In three days, I'll vanish completely from his world.

Played for Five Years, I Marry Into Billions Instead

I decide to propose to Rebecca Milton, now that we've been in a relationship for five years. But I end up overhearing her conversation with her childhood friend, Tobias Wright, outside a private room in the clubhouse. "Seriously, Rebecca? Are you still hooked on the idea of pretending to be a poor student? All this just so you can win a bet of wooing Sebastian Grant, the business genius, and making him yours? "The Grants are on the verge of filing for bankruptcy. Heck, Sebastian has also cut ties with his family just so he can be with you. Don't tell me you seriously plan on marrying him!" Every cell in my body freezes upon hearing Tobias' words. Then, I hear Rebecca responding to him flippantly. "Marry him? As if! All I have to do is wait for him to propose to me, then I can expose the truth of the bet to him on the spot! Oh, the expression he's wearing must be amazing!" Tobias chuckles lightly in return. "You are in a five-year relationship with Sebastian at the end of the day. Are you sure you don't have feelings for him?" Rebecca scoffs back. "I was just playing with him, you know? Whoever puts their heart on the line loses this game." Then, she gazes at Tobias tenderly. "Don't you know very well who I'm truly in love with?" It turns out that the girlfriend I'm head over heels for, as well as the relationship that I view as my prized treasure, is nothing but the product of a bet. I call my parents on the spot. "I will go along with the marriage alliance."

Sacrificed Parents for a Medal

Sacrificed Parents for a Medal

During a maritime rescue, my in-laws were trapped aboard a sinking vessel. I personally led my husband, Adrian Cole, captain of the rescue team, straight to their location. They were seconds away from launching the operation when Vanessa Tate looped an arm around his neck and said with a smile, “I heard there are two very important people on that ship. If I’m the one who brings them out, I could earn a second-class medal.” She leaned closer, half teasing, half coaxing. “Help me out this one time. Do that, and I’ll call you Daddy for the rest of my life.” Adrian raised a brow and let out a laugh. “You’d better mean it. Because I’m taking you up on that.” Then, without a moment’s hesitation, he ordered the rescue boat to turn around. I froze, then shouted after him, “Adrian, Mom and Dad are still trapped in there. Are you seriously leaving them to die?” He shoved me aside, his expression turning cold with impatience. “Claire, think about what matters most. Your parents can swim and hold on a little longer until another team gets there. But if Vanessa misses this chance, she may never get another shot at that medal.” My blood ran cold. Yes, my parents could swim. But the people trapped inside that vessel were not my parents. They were his. And they were the two “important people” Vanessa had been talking about all along.

BOUND TO MY AWAKENING

BOUND TO MY AWAKENING

"Say it." I stared at him, refusing to speak. The Alpha took another step forward. "Say that you're not my mate." My heart hammered against my ribs. "I don't belong to you." A slow smile spread across his face. "That's not what I asked." "I don't care what you asked." His hand closed around my wrist before I could move. The moment he touched me, the bond snapped tight enough to steal my breath. I hated that he felt it too. I hated the satisfaction in his eyes. "You're shaking," he murmured. "I'm disgusted." "You'll survive." I tried to pull away. He didn't let me. "Let me go." "No." "You can't force me to stay." His gaze dropped briefly to the mark glowing beneath my skin. Then he looked back at me. "I can hunt you." My pulse stumbled. "I can find you." I swallowed. "I can drag every secret out of the shadows." His thumb brushed my wrist. "And when I do, you'll finally tell me why an entire pack died the night you got your wolf." My chest tightened. "You're afraid of me." For the first time, his expression darkened. "No, Kaela." His voice dropped low. "I'm afraid of what I'll do to anyone who tries to take you from me.”

He Died On Her Table

He Died On Her Table

When my son suffered a heart attack in the middle of the night, I rushed him to the hospital where my wife worked. Instead of taking charge herself, she handed the operation to an intern. "New doctors need opportunities to learn. I'll be right there supervising. Nothing will happen." But before the surgery even began, a phone call pulled her away, leaving a trembling Marvin Vance alone in the operating room. My son never made it off the operating table. I collapsed in the hallway, sobbing in grief. Yet I overheard my wife gently comforting Marvin. "For your first surgery, you held on this long. You've done an amazing job, my little cinnamon roll." Awkwardly copying trendy slang younger people used online, she reassured him with endless patience. Then she turned to me with a cold expression and demanded that I sign a letter forgiving Marvin. "He has his whole future ahead of him. You can't destroy his life." I tore the document to pieces and threatened to call the police and expose what had happened. In response, she arranged for a medical donation and had my son's body dissected that very night. Driven insane by grief, I threw myself from a building while clutching my son's ashes. When I opened my eyes again, I found myself back on the day of my son's surgery. This time, I immediately contacted my parents and transferred him to another hospital. But that night, they still dissected a child.

Breaking up Over One Cup of Yogurt

Breaking up Over One Cup of Yogurt

At our company dinner, my girlfriend, Katherine Hale, makes a detour to get some treats. She hands a glass of juice to my childhood friend, Mark Langley, who is sitting opposite us. Then, she sets down a cup of yogurt in front of me. Mark thanks her with a smile. "How thoughtful of you! You remembered I can't have iced drinks because of my gastric issues." I stare at the cup of yogurt with mango bits in it. Then, I nudge it further away from me, my expression blank. "What's the matter?" Katherine asks casually. I respond, "I'm allergic to mangoes. Did you forget that again?" She freezes for a moment. Then, she smiles and shrugs. "Come on, it's no big deal. Just pick out the mango bits." But she never forgets that Mark doesn't want any cilantro or onion in his food. Also, he only accepts chilled juice without any ice or sugar. Meanwhile, I have difficulty breathing if I take even a single bite of mango, but she thinks it's fine as long as I pick them out. Turns out, if one is biased enough, they can overlook even matters of life and death. On our way home, I sit in the back seat as usual. I look at the two people in the front, who seem perfect for each other. All of a sudden, I feel relief washing over me. Katherine can't even remember my allergies, so what am I holding onto this relationship for?
