The eye blinked once. The entire mountain shook. Outside, the storm exploded into chaos. Lightning struck the surrounding peaks one after another. The sky itself seemed to crack apart. Then something impossible happened. The eye looked directly at Isabella. Not generally. Not vaguely. Directly. Like it could see through every wall and every layer of reality between them. The pull inside Isabella immediately intensified. I felt her sway beside me. My hand wrapped around hers instantly. She squeezed back. Hard. The eye narrowed. The reaction was subtle.

Tara and I would come back stronger. Let them think the storm was over, and drop their guard in the middle of the eye. They had no idea what was coming.

"Look at me when next you lie to me. I will be more likely to believe your lie" His gaze bared down on me, it was scorching to say the least and the way he stood, towering over me like a Skyscraper made me even more nervous but all these scary qualities of him didn't soften me one bit, I was already sorta used to the disapproving and hostile glares…I have a thick skin against most of these things. What affected me about Stormi was his eyes, they were kind and they held promise to try and understand me. But will he?

Kayla’s POV The storm outside grew worse as the day bled into night. Thunder rolled over the city like an endless growl, shaking the glass, the walls, and something inside me that I couldn’t name. I stood by the window, my reflection flickering in the lightning. My eyes still glowed faintly—an eerie, silvery hue that pulsed like moonlight trapped beneath my skin.

She can see the lust and desire in her mate's eyes suddenly turned into shock, guilt, and disappointed. "Ooh, Oakley. You're not the only one who can play games, too," she muttered with a victorious smirked in her face.

Months had passed, and Storm was growing like wildfire beneath a summer moon. Every day, something new sparked in him, a sound, a laugh, a light. His eyes glowed like molten lava, liquid gold swirling like a firestorm, just like his father’s. When sunlight hit them just right, it looked as if the lava of creation itself burned behind his irises. Blaise called it his mark. Ryker called it a warning. Kira only smiled knowingly. “Fire and storm,” she said. “The gods made sure the world would never forget those eyes.”

Storm froze when the new female voice sounded behind him, another tormentor, he couldn't look at her, he stared at the ground before him. "We are laughing at this devil child," one of the male servants answered, laughing out a little as he pointed at Storm. Going to stand in front of him, Juno bends down to lift his head gently with one of her hands, brown eyes widened when it met with two mismatched color eyes. Storm's right eyeball was white and his left eyeball was red. Juno couldn't look away as they stared at each other. She broke the gaze and stared at his clothes instead. "Tell me, who among the illiterate mumpsimus made you cry?"
