It twirled against my wrist popped.

Then, he gave me a polite smile. The view changed after that. Rose stood there, lost in her thoughts. Everything around her is dark and broken. She started to move, she moved her right foot towards the jeep, then she slowly moved another and after a step she stopped and turned her neck to her shoulder and a drop of water moved out from her beautiful black eyes and then slipped on her red cheeks.

Sleep came in restless fits, every time I closed my eyes, images of both men flashing behind my eyelids. But then, the nightmare began. It started out beautifully, just like something out of a dream. I was standing in a meadow, surrounded by roses in full bloom. Their rich crimson petals glistened under the sunlight, and the grass beneath my feet was the same vibrant shade as Visaris' eyes. The breeze was warm and soothing, carrying the sweet fragrance of the roses. For a moment, I felt at peace.

Unbothered with what going to happen next, I closed my eyes hoping that I would wake up in the real life. While closing my eyes, I heard some laughers. Out of curiosity, I opened my eyes. I wasn't in the darkness anymore. Instead, I was in a beautiful garden. In front of me, there were two beautiful girls - twin girls. They were both singing and circling around the white rose. The same white rose from a while ago. What caught my eyes was that the white rose was white, there wasn't even a drop of blood on that rose.

Grunting, Sebestian held her hand still as Rose's short nails dug into his wrist "Rose?" Rose's eyes fluttered open, puffy, sore and glossy as they darted around like she was looking for something. Sitting still, remembering Monika's warning of not startling her, Sebestian watched as Rose turned her head a little, whimpering from the movement but not letting go of Sebestian hand. Soft. Endless. Not blinding— But infinite. Rose inhaled sharply. “…this is different.” No voice answered. No shadow moved. No eyes watched from the void. Just— Light. Warmth. And something else. A presence. Familiar.

Its petals, once vibrant and full of life, were now delicate and brittle, its color faded over time. As I held the dried rose, an unexpected image flashed before my eyes. It was Stassie, her radiant smile lighting up her face. It was a smile that could outshine the sun, a smile that had the power to make anyone's day brighter. The rose, in its silent beauty, reminded me of her.
