Selene The angry fairies were worse than a nightmare. The tiny creatures were what children feared before going to sleep. Their size made them seem harmless, but once they got close, you could see their red eyes filled with rage and their sharp teeth lined up in rows that, when they dug into your skin, infected you like poison, so irritating and corrosive that it could be very harmful in a matter of hours. They became a legend that parents used to control children, a legend that at that moment became so real that I was afraid.
