Nalia’s eyes glistened, but she nodded. “Okay. Let’s do this.”
Tyler bumped his shoulder against hers. “That’s my girl.”

Nalia shot upright in bed, gasping for air like she’d been drowning. Her skin was damp with sweat, and her chest rose and fell in short, sharp bursts. The dream—or vision, or whatever the hell that was—still burned behind her eyes.
