The first light of day was crossing over the curved horizon. The edge of the otherwise dark sky was painted bloody scarlet. Nostalgic memories of unruly locks tangling in the breeze came to mind. Faline gulped back sorrow as the image of General Dana Rein, her golden dragon-like eyes, and her constant scowl flooded into her memories.

A blinding flash of light erupted from the fairy’s fingertips, engulfing the entire room.
