She tightened her hands on the edge of the table, she couldn't believe her eyes. "No." Nobody said anything. Slowly, she scanned the pages of the book, they were more names and more Greys. Generation after generation, her family, her bloodline. It was all written down here in this book. Her pulse quickened instantly. "Why is my family in this book?" Selene's expression changed. "Keep reading." Zara wished she hadn't seen this book at all, the further she read the more complicated things seemed. Eventually she reached a section marked with faded ink, a note had been written beside one particular name, the writing looked old and barely legible yet she could still read it.

"You're going to do it again and again; it's amazing. You know that; you're like a broken plate." Lilia gritted her teeth. "I'm just reminding you." Sherly sighed as if you were tired of what was happening over and over again. "Lilia, in this family, my family is only Daddy, Big Brother Kyle, and Big Brother Keisley. Oh, Grandpa Mario is the addition in the family. And you," she said, pointing her finger. "You don't belong to that family. So, do you think, of the two of us, who do they consider more part of the family?" She smiled broadly.

Even my second brother, Tony, spoke up. "That's right. Mr. Smith's not a bad man." Seeing every single family that I was related to by blood determined to sell me out, all I could feel was the chill to the bone as I shook uncontrollably.

I replied indifferently. The air between us instantly turned cold again. "Come home for dinner. Ryan misses you," Lucian said, his voice rough. Then, he added, "Chloe will be at her tutoring class tonight, so it'll just be us. And... I'll cook." After some hesitation, I answered, "Alright."
