She murmured thanks, cheeks burning. The chamber was exquisite and far too intimate: a massive canopy bed draped in deep emerald velvet, a fireplace already crackling with golden flames, and tall bookshelves lined with tomes that hummed softly with magic. The large window overlooked snow-covered gardens lit by floating lanterns that glowed like fireflies. It was perfect. Seductive. Dangerous. That night, beneath the heavy velvet canopy, sleep refused to come.

It was a room I’d passed several times, but I’d never bothered to peek inside. “What is it?” I asked. Xavier smiled, showing his fangs. “Open the doors and see for yourself, sweetness.” I twisted the door handle and pushed. The inside was softly illuminated by a crystal chandelier that hung high over an expansive space furnished as a bedroom. The massive four-poster bed could easily sleep six adults. Before the hearth, which crackled with a magical fire, stood four chairs with little tables between them. A door at one side led to a palatial marble bathroom, and the other led into a walk-in closet the size of a studio apartment.

The thought of Ares sent shivers throughout my body, and it wasn’t the good kind. I walked through the room. It was beautiful. The bedding matched the floor, gold and white. The bed itself was also white and had four large posts with a white sheer canopy draped over it. There was a large dresser as well as a stunning armoire, both also white in color. The bathroom was freshly stocked with white fluffy towels and everything a girl would need, including makeup. It had a huge white stone walk in shower. The marble counter tops were also solid white. Upstairs I’ll have my office space, and downstairs my bedroom.” “A tower?” Heath’s eyebrows lifted almost into his hairline. “Rapunzel.” “Yep. I saw it in the dream. From there, I’ll have a good view of the lamb paddock and rose garden.” She replied firmly. “Your rooms can be the guest wing, and children’s rooms, though they won’t sleep there. Aziel pushed a door opened and gestured for me to go in with which I did. It was a bedroom I noticed. I large one, one that was almost ten times as large as my apartment. The walls were painted blue with posters of Batman and Spider-man plastered on the wall. Walking further into the room, I saw this tall shelve that housed a collection of legos and I just knew that the room had to belong to a boy. “This is my childhood bedroom.” I heard him say from behind me. I jumped a bit but was quick to mask the fact that I was startled by turning around to face him.

He was pretty sure magic was holding it up, it looked immensely heavy and hung almost right down into the square space left by the landing. Sebestian smiled at the awestruck looks on their faces with each bedroom he and his mate showed them, all of them decorated in blues, greens, golds and purples. Four of the rooms had kingsize beds with matching armoirs and nightstands made of cherry, oak and pine. Each room had a fireplace, walk-in closet and a bathroom complete with shower, tub, twin sinks and decorated with floor to ceiling subway tiles in colours that matched each room. He particularly liked the wooden shutters on the outside of the sash windows.

He rose to stand beside the bed and she chanced a quick peek around to calm her nerves. His room was only slightly larger than hers, but the walls were a deep forest green and the furniture a walnut sleigh design. What looked like a dreamcatcher hung over the queen-sized bed. She hadn't realized he had a balcony facing south, and sunlight streamed in, filling the room with natural light. No chance of her hiding her flaws in the dark, that was for sure. The space was warm and masculine like him, with two mountain scenes above the dresser that...she'd taken.

“Your dress is ripped apart.” “Oh, I wonder why,” I muttered sarcastically. Zayden sighed and stood up, half-naked and unashamed. “Okay. If you want to go home, that’s fine. The bedroom was huge and masculine — dark wood, expensive furniture, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the canal. On one wall were framed photos. My eyes landed on them and I froze.
