Her eyes narrowing suspiciously, she picked up the book again and looked at the blurb once more. "The story of a half-blood dragon who lived unloved, unwanted and destined to fall under the weight of her own power." Fru almost laughed. Why does this sound like her series of applications to different guilds. Tragedies were not her taste because she had seen enough of it in her life. "Give me a heroine who marches through worlds and conquer hehehe" Fru smirked at her own imagination. "It looks interesting though, what's one more tragedy to the list" she said that but she didn't want to admit her inability to resist reading the book.

Flipping the page over, I read a few more lines. The book was quite intriguing. But after a few pages, it was slipping out of reality and going through some non realistic stories. By the time I read my third fairytale story about a fairly young woman getting lost at sea and ended up falling in live with a beast that lived beyond the lands of the five Kingdoms, I softly closed the book and let out a sigh. "That was fun." Prince Victor sarcastically commented before lifting his arms over his head and letting out a loud yawn.

She tilted her head while questioning. "Oh, we have books and plenty of stories about mythical creatures, I think most, if not all of it exist here." Alexis nodded as she spoke, she was fairly confident her brain conjured up all these creatures to distract her from her impending death. As depressing as it was, Alexis hadn't felt the slight bit affected by the thought because she was thoroughly distracted. "Like history books?" The woman asked looking slightly suspicious of Alexis. I deserved better, this stupid year was just kicking my ass. Assuring myself of this, I took a deep breath out, running a hand through my hair as I crossed the road, headed straight into the library, putting my phone into my jacket pocket. The town library was exceptionally big, not too large though, but I must admit could hold quite a lot of books as they were rows upon rows. I made my way straight to the books about fantasy creatures, realizing that they were surprisingly many. Young Adult fantasy is a thing...like a big deal, I noted reading through so interesting titles, but not the specific one I was looking for.

ARCANE DELIGHTS I slowly close the journal, settle it in my lap and gaze at its black leather-bound cover. I rub its pebbled surface lightly, thinking. Only stories. These are only stories. Fantastical stories. A little more fantastical than I usually prefer, though well-written, by someone with a much greater command of the craft than I yet possess. The vivid characterization, meticulous attention to detail and a surreal sense of place makes me want to believe these stories happened, but I know they couldn’t have, and am ready to dismiss them as nothing more than fiction . . .

The relationships of the characters are: - BxB for main couples. - BxG for others. This story is bound to have some silly events to depict comedy scenes for a good-time laugh. Nevertheless, though the story may start light-themed at first, it is recommended to brace yourself for a heavy plot in the future.
