I read the back cover, pretty sure it was once of Tristan’s and not one of mine as I didn’t recognize it. The description read like a run of the mill fantasy. Group of experienced adventurers traveling the lands in an attempt to stop some long trapped evil that was threatening to re-emerge. I opened it, reading it without paying too much attention so I didn’t get sucked in. I had lost myself countless tales over the years, using them as an escape in my younger years, avoiding the realities that were starting to take hold in my world.

At least I hope she won't. Right now she's crooning at the thought of being near Leviathan. She finds him fascinating. They are both mythical creatures and incredibly powerful. However, they are opposites! It won't work. Whoever said 'opposites attract' didn't have to deal with a freaking horny firebird and a water dragon who wants nothing to do with them! Thumbing through the titles displayed, I discovered classics, bestsellers, and rare editions. I picked a fantasy book from the bestsellers - "A Court of Thorns and Roses" by Sarah J. Maas. I settled into the big couch, my feet tucked under me. An hour passed, and I was completely absorbed in the world of Prythian. Feyre's strength and determination had me hooked. "There you are," a voice startled me. I looked up to find Ethan standing in the doorway. He smiled mischievously. "I looked all over for you," he said.

Kaltain Kingdom Leiya Helion brought me a bunch of novels to read while I recovered my strength completely. It was funny because they were all novels about a hero on a conquest, but falls in love along the way in the most unexpected way possible. I spent all my day reading and giggling at how silly it sounded but I kept reading. “You seem to be properly entertained." His voice distracted me and I looked up. “This book is so cliche.” I rolled my eyes, violently slamming it face down on my bed.

To distract myself I grabbed a stack of books i had gotten from Zoya. I settled on the bed, curling up with the first book. It was a fantasy novel about a brave healer and her quest to save a cursed kingdom. I couldn’t help but smile at the irony but as I turned the pages, I found myself getting invested. The healer’s struggles, her triumphs and her quiet strength it all resonated with me. Just as the story began to pull me in, a knock sounded at the door. Before I could respond, it opened and my three mates walked in. I let out a quick breath because what in beautiful world are these creatures from? I’m always blown by their presence.

Both the pre-ruin and the post-ruin, I wasn't ready for any of it. My movements came to a halt when my gaze flitted across the street and landed on the poster of the new Fantasy series I had been waiting on; All the Beautiful Things. It was a trilogy. All the beautiful things are red, All the beautiful things are gold, and All the beautiful things are black. It was more like Romantasy actually. A wide grin crept up my face and I looked sideways, before slipping towards the bookstore even though I knew there was no car in sight. Volxe bookstore.

When I reached inside my room, I went ahead and sat down on my bed. Leaning back against the bed, I looked up at my ceiling. At our family photography. Mom and dad laughing. At me. At my life. I sighed and reached for the novel that I had managed to read recently. Amidst this messy situation. It was a fantasy novel. I always loved the thought of fantasy. I loved to dwell in a world where things could be magical, the way you want them to be. It always made me comfortable and happy. But today, it seemed as if I couldn't make myself to even read a single page.

I asked, seeing the first novel was about a princess and a beast, the second book was about a poor lady that had only one wish to marry the wealthiest dragon, and the third one, how to seduce a male dragon. "Are you kidding me? So I should read on how to seduce a male dragon? Is that what you females are mostly up to here?" I asked Abigail in shock after reading the novel titles, and my yellow eyes burned at Abigail again, but she smiled and took the book of how to seduce a male dragon away.

It is hard to stay positive when over ten-thousand words are erased in one file. I hope you are patient with me and keep this book in your library, as I promise to return soon with more episodes.
