I got this German Shepherd. Spark, my tan and black German Shepherd, was a striking sight to behold. His sleek coat shimmered in the sunlight, a rich tapestry of earthy tones that shifted and danced with every movement. Her furry tail wagged uncontrollably. "I see you've met Goldie," a male voice said from behind me. I looked over my shoulder to see a tall, handsome man. He had black-framed glasses, thick sandy hair and a kind smile. With a dusting of white hair, I pegged him to be in his mid-thirties. He smiled down at the dog and me.

Marcus said at 4 AM. "Random." "Lily needs to grow up with pets. Character building." "Lily has two homes. Who gets the dog?" "We do. She can visit." "You've really thought about this." "I've had time. Months of wedding planning gave me hours to consider important questions like dog breeds." "What breed?" "Golden retriever. Friendly, good with kids, very photogenic." When the door opens, he’s already running toward me, his backpack bouncing. "Mummy!" I scoop him up, burying my nose in his neck. He smells like chalk, milk, and that sweaty kid scent. "You smell like your classroom, little man." "Yeah, we played hard today!" He wiggles down, grabbing his lunch box. "Mummy, did you know that Golden Retrievers have webbed toes for swimming? They’re like ducks!" I raise my eyebrows. "Webbed toes? I didn't know that. Who’s the dog expert?"

I said to him and he kept on barking as a sign of happiness "Look what I brought for you " I inserted my hand into my twenty-year-old bag to bring out the leftover pizza I brought for him. I stood up from where I squatted and jingled the pizza around which made him roll around and jump in circles as he tried to collect the pizza. "Catch!" I threw the pizza two feet away from him and he ran as fast as he could to pick it up. Layla felt her breathe catch in her throat at the beautiful sight before her. She sat up further in the couch, staring at the magnificent golden wolf standing before her. He was huge, about three inches higher than her waist. His fur sparkled like melted gold and it ruffled softly in the cool breeze that blew in from the window. Sharp looking claws curved over the hard tiles on the ground and she could see the outline of the thick muscles under his fur. His fluffy tail that was bronze tipped wagged happily and the sight brought a smile to her lips.

I said patting the head of the golden retriever who was wagging his tail at me. “He is the only one who doesn’t fear me and I hate his stinking furs.” Giovanni scrunched his nose. I laughed seeing him making faces. “We also smell bad when we sweat in our wolf form, Gio. Don’t fuss over a cute dog. It’s good that Carlotta isn’t around or you have to face her grumpy mood. You know how much she loves Fluffy.” I said throwing the ball far and the dog ran to catch it. “You have over worked yourself, Gemma. I insist you to go back in your room and rest.” He said in a serious tone.
