I tried to lift the book from the shelf in the library when I heard his voice. "Everly, you’re not supposed to be lifting anything," Kaelan scolded, taking the book I had been trying to grab from the shelf. I crossed my arms, glaring up at him. "It’s just a book, Kaelan. I’m pregnant, not sick." He arched his brow. "Dr May said you shouldn't be lifting heavy things." "That applies to crates and weapons," I argued. "Not books." Kaelan smirked and took the book to a table and placed it there. I crossed my arms and watched him as he returned to where I was standing and lifted me effortlessly and carried me to the chair beside the table.

Teema started to say, pointing her nose up while speaking in an airy tone. “Shut up. You knew nothing of their intentions, Rex and I, even your bloody sister was able to read from their body language and actions they were after one thing,” Kealy interjected, clicking her fingers in Teema’s face. “And what was that? Please tell me since I am so dense,” Teema sneered. “I reckon he would’ve loved to peel those dense lips from your face to turn into sausages,” Kealy replied in a flat matter-of-fact tone, her comment making Teema inhale and Venya snort back a laugh.

Kyria leans over the desk and picks up the small letter opener, using that to unlock and open the small drawer but making sure not to damage it in the process. Kyria sighs and relaxes just a little when she hears the soft click and can pull the drawer open. She riffles through the papers, folders and slim books until she uncovers Mane Beatrice's little black book. Kyria quickly skims through the pages until she finds the right information.
