Henry's POV I closed my eyes shut as I anticipated that painful moment when my head would fly off my neck but then... “Unhand him," I heard a voice say causing the men to stop. I opened my eyes and I saw the men looking all scared and afraid. What is causing them to act this way? My eyes slowly landed on the man who had spoken and my eyes dilated in shock. Victor Blade! The most notorious and dangerous assassin ever, who is known for hunting fellow werewolves and other supernatural creatures like vampires and witches. What is he doing here? Is he perhaps the same assassin at the alley? Is he also after the bounty??!

"Now I know it works." The Blackbone blade is an old Woods family heirloom. My grandmother gave it to me on her deathbed, revealing that one of our ancestors had taken it from a defeated clan of witches. Any vampire who fell victim to the thrust of her blade screamed in agony as they burnt to death. Breathing harshly, I watched her stab the last standing vampire, then she turned to face me with a grin. The dagger was made with Aspen. It was as hot as the sun. They did not stand a chance against such a weapon. Fatimah wiped off the blood that had splashed against her chin, but she just ended up smearing it all over her face. "That was easier than I thought it would be. We make a pretty good team, don't you think".

Nonetheless, one must not forget their undead nature. The vampires that were running after Zephyr were Blizzard Vampires, and they possessed great, icy powers. In other words, ice was their main element. Zephyr quickly unsheathed Draken, engaging his Focus. The sword glowed and shimmered in his palm, “Taste lightning!” Zephyr screamed as the wind kicked up beneath his feet, accompanied by a streak of electricity. Zephyr was preparing his attack stance. With Zephyr at the center, his flurry attack rushed to them like a blossoming flower, striking outwards at everything.

The blade was the hidden rapier concealed within the ebony cane—Chloe’s most ingenious design. With the "Ghost" pinned and screaming, the elder Liam turned his gaze toward the Fat Man. His eyes were cold, sharp reflections of the blade he had just deployed. The Fat Man’s knees gave out instantly. He collapsed into a heap, his hands raised in surrender. "It’s not my fault! It’s not my fault! Kevin Blue made me do it! I didn't do anything!" The elder Liam didn't waste words. He stepped forward and delivered a kick so powerful it flipped the Fat Man over, leaving him groaning in a heap. A second strike ensured he wouldn't be moving for a long time.

The minute Blade heard that, he moved quickly towards Juliana's father — Michael, being extremely blood-thirsty, he bent Micheal's neck and with his elongated fangs, he sapped Michael's blood, groaning with delight and satisfaction. Michael, in those moments, began to jerk uncontrollably. He kept jerking until he gave up the ghost. Juliana kept her eyes fixed on each one of them and memorized their faces as she quit watching the video, erasing it from her email.

Max bent back as the bar sailed over him, cutting the air with a sharp sound. Max brought his blade up and nearly cut the man’s lower arm off. He screamed in pain and Max leapt on him and shoved the blade into his chest. Which killed the man instantly and his skin turned black but he did not turn to dust. So he wasn’t of demonic origin, probably vampire or fae. Max started running again, but as he turned a woman was there this time and swung a longer blade that just sliced into his shirt and side.

We stayed silent for a while as we wound down the streets of Moon City, the night life shown in the bar lights streaming through the skies. "What is the blade that he was talking about?", I asked after a while of silence. "The blade is an ancient weapon that can be used to kill young vampires", Jacob responded, his eyes focused on the road, his hands relaxed on the steering wheel. "Young vampires?", I pondered. Did he mean people like Kane? "Do you mean newly turned?", I asked. "The ones that just underwent the change?"

‘Let’s get this over with,’ He said. I held my left palm up. On my wrist where a symbol had been inked. I placed my other hand over it and a soft glow appeared in it and it materialized into a special weapon. The devil's blade. It belonged to the Nightshade bloodline and was a gift from Daemon. Zayden's eyes shimmered as he caught sight of the blade. “Interesting. This would be fun,” His eyes gleamed a malevolent red, his demon seething just beneath the surface.
