The wind carried the dust away, but their eerie, glowing eyes still haunted the battlefield as more vampires stepped forward, their hunger unrelenting.

I swallowed the lump in my throat as he made his way over to his desk. "W-Why was s-she out there?" I asked. Master leaned back against the desk so he was almost sitting on it, placing the leash down in the process. "It's a stupid thing that some vampires do when their pet has misbehaved or they decide that they don't want them anymore." My eyes widened

He nodded and clenched his jaw as he held his blade. “Thank you, Alpha,” he said before darting off. I watched Walton charge into the fight. His fear was gone now. A vampire came at him fast, fangs out. Walton dodged and swung his blade. It cut the vampire’s arm deep. The creature hissed and lunged again. Walton spun, driving the blade into its chest. The vampire fell, body turning to ash. Walton didn’t stop. Another one jumped at him from the side. He blocked it with his arm, then stabbed it quickly. The blade hit

His blade wasn't going to make it. "RAAAAH!" The giant Vampire emit a ferocious roar mustering all the strength that remained forcing his blade to carve it's way through the creature. He felt as though he were lining up on a football field trying to force back an entire squad of linebackers alone.... The bright side, he happened to be stronger than a squad of linebackers. Though it took almost everything he had his blade finally cut through the monstrous flower. The upper half listed to the side club still hefted over head as it fell.

Then, a powerful voice rang out across the battlefield: “Guys—don’t be shy. Grab yourselves a snack.” Harpies shrieked in horror as hundreds of vampires appeared from nowhere on the batterfiled. Unlike wolves, they could fly—fast, merciless, and hungry. Vampires pounced on harpies, piercing their skin with fangs to drink them dry. Piercing screams of harpies filled the air, and they rushed to leave the fight, trying to escape the death.

I forced it clear and kept moving. The path was too steep for clean footing. Every step risked a slide that would send someone into the dark below. The vampires used that truth better than we did. One of them came at me from an angle the shield did not fully cover. The blade scored a line across my upper arm before I could turn the light. Heat and wetness followed. I gritted my teeth and slammed a short, dense burst of power into the creature’s chest. It fell away into the mist.

I begged as my own blood choked me. It’s as if she was possessed by something,as if she didn’t know what she was doing. “Why should I? Your people kept us in bondage, you suck humans as if you created them but it’ll end today, it’ll definitely end” she lamented as thunder stroke the clouds. “With the power invested in me,I make the vampires slaves,impotent before us” she yelled as my eyes began to close down. She watched me take my last breath as everything on Earth became blurry.
