Is he gone again? I sighed. I get up to get ready for school and the first thing I do is to keep my bed in good condition. Last night, I remember as I fell asleep, he stayed. Guess I need to make myself always ready to accept that God always disappears and comes back whenever he likes to. But what if he is not coming back? I feel an ache in my chest, as if I was suffocated by its bitterness. Come now. Wake up. I said to myself, patting my cheeks. You are both in a different world. And you are just a puny human. Forget about that. Try to change the view and feel someone who is more human.

I was… moving. The roads opened, and my beast responded to my command. Smooth, powerful, and secured around me. I hummed a song of appreciation, thanking the Goddess for aligning my path with Ysara. Uncertainty may still cloud my mind, questions that needed answers, and a future that was so uncertain I didn’t even know I could live till the day I was finally reconnected with a piece of my soul. But for now… just for a moment… I was going to live!

The thing leaned forward—not through yet, but close enough that its gaze, if it had eyes, found mine. The ground split. The forest bowed. And in mortal and divine realms at once, Fate’s voice came for the third and final time: “THE FIRE WILL CHOOSE ITS END.” The tear widened with a sound like every chain in the world breaking at once. Something older than gods began to descend.

"These only spawn when something cataclysmic has happened. Something that fucks up the reincarnation cycle." He didn't want to say it out loud, but there was only one thing, one being, who could have fucked the cycle this badly. Even the transition of power from one god of Chaos to the next and the absence of an avatar from the Black Throne wouldn't create this. There were safeties in place and accommodations for those rough spots. No, this was something much worse - a Fate being stupid.

I looked into his eyes "Are you deaf? I already told you that your so-called cancer patient…Oh, I forgot he isn’t a cancer patient but anyways it changes nothing because he is dead so get that in your empty brain." I heard each word he said but I’m not ready to believe it, I can never accept that Khalil is dead, he can’t be dead, he isn’t dead.
