“Old Man,” my brother cuts in before Garcia can finish. His voice is flat, weary, as though he’s said this a thousand times and it never gets easier. Garcia looks at him, faint surprise flickering over his face.
“Well, technically,” Garcia continues, unfazed, “it’s the sign of his family. But yes … it’s the Old Man.”
