I could feel the warmth from his hand sipping through my clothes. “Where are we going ?”I asked him. “Zachary smiled!! to introduce you of course”. I looked at the group of men he was stirring me towards and nearly froze. I recognize our chief of staff at the FBI, Mr Alex Black. I also recognize the exact time he noticed me. Mr Black, as he was well known, has been my boss since I started working for the FBI. The man is known to be hard as steel, but really he is like a father figure to me.

I saw it in the way his grip tightened around the glass. “What the fuck is going on?” His voice was low, but there was a dangerous edge to it. That’s why I’m here. That’s why I’ve been in your orbit this whole time.” I take a breath, rough, shaky. “And because I care about you. More than I should. That’s the truth.”

She draws out the words, eyes glittering with glee. "I am dedicated," I say. "There's a reason I'm not going, it's just... personal." I'm sure that must sound extremely stupid. Beth's eyes twinkle. Looks like the FBI is still monitoring Malkus.” She took his phone and stared at the photo sent to him. “You know, I still don’t understand why they haven’t made a move on him yet,” she remarked seriously, returning the phone to him. “What are they waiting for?”
