Fearing Fate

Fearing Fate

My wolf gleams in pride at our kill as we watch the blood and life drain from the wolf’s body. The surrounding noises began to filter back into my mind as my adrenaline slowly lowers. I scan around me and only see Richard, back in his human form, laying on the ground. I run over to him and nudge his face with my nose. He groans and tries to move away. He rolls his head to the side, slowly opening his eyes. Seeing my wolf’s blood-covered face inches away from his probably wasn’t the best sight for him. His eyes burst open in fear, as his hazel eyes take me in, thinking I’m here to finish him off. He backs into the wall and reaches his hands out, searching for a weapon. I tilt my head to the s

at first I thought this was going to be the same as all the other stories. dumb main characters with a jealous girl who wants what isn't hers. I was wrong. this book was fantastic. I'm so happy I stuck it out and can't wait until the next book is finished to read.

Shadow Pact

Shadow Pact

Interestingly enough, most of them looked at her with wariness and kept a good distance between themselves and her, especially after she'd nearly torn out the throat of the wolf who stuck her in this damned cage in the first place. It gave her some satisfaction to see the fear in their eyes. Part of it was fear of her; of her sheer size since most wolves were about twice the size of an ordinary timber wolf, while she was nearly three times that and winged; a condition unique to her if Paoli was to be believed; but most of it was their fear of William, she thought. They knew he'd be enraged and hunting them. Everyone was afraid of William, even under the best of circumstances. If he caught th

But the gilded gold title was what caught my eye. Vampyres and their Nightmates My breath came in short, quick gasps, and I watched my hands reach for the book and flip it over as an observer, rather than an active participant. I could feel the book between my hands, even as my fingers moved without my permission, or my guidance; I could feel its strange, almost fuzzy texture, and I could smell the musty old-paper smell as I pressed it flat, open on the page Kathrena had been reading. Then it felt as though my dead heart stopped beating for a second time. Kathrena had been reading chapter five, but even as I read the embossed V I could see the chapter title beneath:

Such an exciting read so far! I am enjoying getting to know our main characters and discovering how their lives have come together while trying to anticipate what might happen next as each chapter is released. Having just finished the entirety of The Beta’s Daughter, this author is an amazing writer

A fantastic second novel, with a refreshingly different tone from the previous entry. The mythologies in this are very well developed and I am very excited to see how the story unfolds! The protagonist and her love interest and very engaging too and I am rooting hard for them!

The Moon's Descendant

The Moon's Descendant

Zelena. I opened my eyes slowly. The sun was already shining brightly through the window. I reached my arm behind me and felt around the bed. I sat up quickly and looked around the room. Gunner wasn’t there. I took a deep breath and yawned stretching my arms out. Wait, my chest didn’t hurt. I twisted my back from side to side waving my arms in the air, my ribs didn’t hurt at all. I got up from the bed and walked around the room, still no pain. I noticed the bookshelf and decided to take a look. There were so many books, some with older worn covers and others newer looking. I picked up a small red book and read the cover ‘A Lycanthropy Reader; WEREWOLVES IN WESTERN CULTURE’. I flicked through

The story is really good! The writer seemed to be learning how to tell the story from two perspectives. At first the author rewrote whole scenes but listened to readers and adapted it a little better. Still some time jump with perspective changes. Zelena has so many powers it seems a lil contrived.

This book was so well written! it caught my attention from the start and kept me hooked continuously! Some parts got confusing during the 2 POVs when something happened in 1 but not the other. If this was published on paper I'd buy it. What a fantastic read ! well done ! Im off to read part 2 ☺️

She got stunned when she saw it jump inside the tent until three of them followed after him. The Hunter and the Vampire

The Hunter and the Vampire

My fighting instincts died in the boiling pit of my fear, and I allowed it to choke me as I scurried back towards the house. Blood bloomed against the white of my bandages. I did not wish to disturb Harper, who had ignored my cries in the night. I wondered mildly if he, too, had stuffed his screams into his cushions on the sofa downstairs, if the fear of the supernatural kept him awake at night.

One Night,One Claim

One Night,One Claim

Stormfang Camp Dax’s POV The camp never truly slept that night. Sentries paced the perimeter in wider circles than usual. Fires were kept deliberately low, barely more than glowing coals so the light wouldn’t silhouette us against the dark. The air smelled of pine smoke, wet fur, and the faint metallic tang of fear. Flame had been restless since the sun set.

mind gibbered. 'It can't be real, it can't be—' But it was real. And it was looking at her like she was dinner. The creature's lipless mouth stretched into a grotesque parody of a smile. "Going somewhere, little human?" it hissed, its voice like nails on a chalkboard. The sound made her skin crawl. Cathy's heart seized. Behind her, she could hear the angry shouts of the women growing closer. Before her, the pale monstrosity loomed, its red eyes gleaming with hunger. Trapped. She was completely trapped. She was trapped, with nowhere left to run. This was it. This was how she died. Cathy's heart raced as she stood frozen, caught between the approaching mob and the nightmarish creature blockin

Fated by The Moon

Fated by The Moon

A sharp sting, then warm blood dripped onto the altar. A deep tremor shook the ground. The markings on the stone flared to life, golden light weaving through the cracks. Eve’s body tensed as energy surged into her, wrapping around her like unseen chains. Then—a scream tore through the night. Eve gasped, whirling around. Shadows moved beyond the trees. They were not alone. ________________________________________ The Elders’ forces struck without warning. Figures cloaked in darkness surged forward, their weapons gleaming under the moonlight. Damien and Luca leaped into action, their snarls ripping through the night. Claws clashed against steel, the air filled with the scent of blood.

The Twins Who Claimed Me

The Twins Who Claimed Me

How the intensity in him stirred something low in my stomach, twisted and heated until I didn’t know if it was fear, rage, or something far worse. Two brothers. Two wolves. Two pulls threatening to split me in half. And me—caught in the middle, shackled by secrets, haunted by a past that screamed for blood. I pushed the dagger back into its sheath with a click that felt final, though nothing inside me was settled. Rising to my feet, I brushed the dust from my clothes and tugged at the ties of my gloves, tightening them until my fingers ached. The camp was quiet. The first whispers of dawn brushed the sky in pale gray, but the world still felt hushed, holding its breath.
