"Scared of me, huh?" Sharon sat on the side of the ledge. Simon stood up and leaned closer. Both her hands supported on the ledge, and her body leaned backward. She saw Simon's Adam's apple that was protruding. "What… what's there for me to be afraid of?" It was as if Simon was doing it on purpose. His fingers gently touching her face. His voice became even deeper. "Then why is your face looking like I'm about to eat you up?" He leaned way too close to her, and his warm breath even brushing over her. With a troubled look, she turned her face away and her small hands pressing against Simon's chest. With much trouble, she spoke, "You should get up."

The System let out a terrified shriek. The next second, I found my body completely paralyzed. I couldn't move a muscle, and my throat couldn't produce a single sound. "Layla, don't force my hand." The System's voice turned vicious and sinister. "I admit I lied to you. But right now, I hold all the cards."

After he took all the black pills Jim gave him, he couldn’t speak or hear. No matter how hard he stared at Jim, all he could make out was the latter’s lips opening and closing. He ran through the movements in his mind, and finally pinned down on a keyword that kept appearing: Diana. Simon’s face changed. With trembling hands, he grabbed a pen and paper, and scribbled, “Don’t touch her.” Don’t touch Diana. Otherwise, he would haunt Jim’s dreams after he died! Jim wasn’t afraid of ghosts, which he firmly believe to not exist. They were merely figments of people’s imagination that served to ignite fear.

But the second we opened the door, the rhythm shattered. Simon stood inside, his face pale, his body trembling. His hands shook so violently he nearly dropped the cloth he was holding. His eyes darted to me, wide with fear. I dropped the basket onto the table with a thud. “What’s going on?” My voice was sharp, urgent. He opened his mouth, but the words tangled on his tongue. His whole body quivered, like he was holding back something too heavy for his frame. “Speak,” I demanded, stepping forward.

In an instant, I was floating above my own body. Just then, the dorm door was kicked open. The white-haired boy rushed inside. His face was a storm of fury and disbelief. Lily snatched the box and jumped out the window. Aaron ran straight to me, gathering my “corpse” in his arms. His expression was pure terror. “Ivy…” But my body remained cold. My soul had already left the simulated game body. Half an hour passed… Aaron never once let go of me. His hands were shaking. And only then did I realize something terrifyingly wrong.

Rex asked to no one in particular. "Your fear is working, honey. Fear is the most unavoidable element of life." Simone answered calmly. "Contradictory, Simone." With shaky breaths, Humbert said. "What do you mean?" Ashton asked seeing Simone's hands balled into fists. "You very well know Walker's that Simone is a coward bitch. Her fear is making her do these things because she is afraid that you are going to expose her. She is afraid that's why she is inflicting fear in everyone's mind over here so that no one would ever open their mouth regarding whatever happened, and she would once again win."

Her eyes were a little wide and her cheeks were red. "What's the matter?" Kiera asked her. "What happened? I heard you scream. You look scared." "It's nothing," she said, shaking her head. "I thought I saw something." "What do you think you saw?" Kiera asked. It was alarming because Simone was someone who wasn't easily scared. She wasn't afraid of insects or anything. She had always been a tough person. But she genuinely looked frightened, Kiera wasn't imagining it, and she had heard the scream.

ASHLEY The horror that gripped me was so strong that it pushed me down to the ground. I didn't stop screaming and the shock didn't disappear either as I stared at the ghostly body covered in blood. “Help! Help! Ahh!" I screamed, unable to get up or run away. "Simon!” I screamed and burst into tears. Real tears. They killed him before I could reach him. They took his life when they realized that he didn't want to be part of their game anymore. How could they be so evil? How?”

My heart sank in an instant, and I felt chills run up my spine. The ghoul holding the cleaver, Trilius, sped up and reached for Simon. With a swing of his cleaver, Simon’s head rolled and came to a stop right by my feet. Trilius wiped away the spray of blood that had landed on his face and grinned menacingly at me. “Do you know him?” I denied it with everything I had, and shook my head so vigorously that it felt like it would fall off. “I don’t know him, I really don’t. I’m just a humble food vendor!”
