The Miracle Luna
The castle.
It stood high on a jagged cliff, rising like a black crown above the trees. Sharp spires speared the sky, silhouetted against the pale light of dawn. The structure was both magnificent and menacing, its gothic towers jutting into the heavens like fangs. The full moon still lingered, low on the horizon, casting a silver glow that made the entire place shimmer with otherworldly beauty.
Stone bridge lamps flickered behind me, casting their light across the winding path that led down the rocky slope. The trees were thick, their trunks like watchmen, shadows twisting beneath their branches.
