I told him seriously as my eyes got extremely blurry and they burned. I brought my hand up to rub my eyes to try to rid of whatever was burning my eyes. I heard a gasp escape Santo's lips, I quickly looked over at him, my vision still slightly blurry. I think it’s just the saltwater irritating my eyes. I was out in the ocean...just floating there, too shameful to want to climb back on my boat. “What?” I asked him, bringing my hands up to my eyes again, and once more I tried to rid of whatever was causing my eyes to burn.

Liv lifts a hand to her face, rubbing at her still closed eyes. They are so dry that they feel like sandpaper. She tries to open them but the light hits them and they burn like fire. She quickly closes them with a quiet groan, lifting an arm to cover them in the hopes of eliviating the pain.

I don't know what's happening" He touches my face and kisses me on my forehead, suddenly everything becomes blurry "What's this?, why can't I see you anymore?" I stretch my hands "Father!, father!" I cried out "Father!...."

The lantern’s light dances wildly, its movements jarring and unpredictable. It’s like the flickering of my thoughts—disjointed, fragmented, struggling to come together.

It’s all a whir of mere seconds, as though I’m in slow motion and the world is speeding around me. My vision is blurry with tears, and my left eye is burning so bad it’s streaming. As I try to acclimatize, I can see the fluid form of a trained fighter, a silent, deadly movement and intimidating presence.
