She was probably thinking about how I'd humiliate myself tomorrow. I watched Katherine coldly as she turned to leave, humming an odd werewolf song. The tune grated on my nerves, and I had to resist the urge to cover my ears. A group of pack girls happened to pass by, all greeting Katherine with enthusiastic waves and smiles. One of them, a redhead named Lily, called out, "Katherine, we heard you discarded your sensitivity enhancement stone. Are you still participating in tomorrow's selection?" Katherine glanced at me with a sly smile, then resumed her innocent act. The transformation was so smooth, it was almost impressive.

I curiously asked. The bright smile on her face faded and it was replaced with a sad one. She shook her head and released a frustrated sigh. "As a warrior who had trained, worked hard, and fought to earn the name, I wanted to join the Iron Claw warriors. I didn't want my strength as a warrior to be of no use, I wanted to be able to fight wars, to know how it feels to be on the battlefield, to know what it's like to win and to be defeated. I wanted to be more confident in myself as a female warrior, to prove that me being a woman does not mean that I don't have the strength to fight as a warrior." She stopped and sighed again, this time feeling sad.

I am putting on a long deep blue gown with no hint of skin except for the low neckline which Jason allowed after much scrutiny. Yang Xiao recognized at a glance that he should be the third Paladin of the Holy Court of Europe. The next one to land was a black man with four stars embroidered on his chest, the Fourth Paladin. Then there was a pair of twin sisters. There were five and eight golden stars embroidered on their chests respectively. They should be the fifth Paladin and the eighth Paladin of the Holy Court of Europe.

Maybe I was simply born to pay back the Chandlers. Three days passed in the blink of an eye, and the scars on my body faded, my skin as smooth and pale as it had been before.
