Behind our hotel was a tall wooden fence, about ten feet high. This would have kept folks from casually strolling into the field back there. Upon investigation, we discovered a few loose wooden planks in the fence that were not actually nailed in place. They were propped in place to look from a distance like they were attached normally, but they were not. Someone had obviously moved them on occasion to access the field behind the hotel.

The farmhouse backyard was no longer just a backyard. What once was a sprawl of grass and lemon trees had been transformed into something else entirely — a battlefield, a gym, and a sanctuary. The fence seperating the houses on our estate was so low that we could basically see what was going in the other house but it was basically not possible to climb over because of the rails with sharp edges on the fences. The two kids ran around their compound shrieking and screaming at the top of the lungs. A young girl came out seconds later screaming at them. On seeing her, the kids increased their speed and she started chasing them around the compound. It was really nice watching them and I started to smile subconsciously.

The place we went to when we were all alone and Camille saw us together. "We are here, Deniz. Do you like it?" He asks her and looks at me. "Yes!! Anne bak sana!" She tells me to look in Turkish. She's very excited. I smile at her and Hudson parks the car. There is a Ferris wheel and Deniz is looking stunned at it. Hudson recognized it and buys tickets for us.
