Her voice resonated warmly, yet carried the burden of sorrow. "My child… the curse you dread was never intended to annihilate you. It was designed to prepare you." Luna staggered, feeling overwhelmed. "Prepare me for what?" The vision’s eyes shone even brighter. "For the war that concludes all bloodlines." Rowan grasped Luna’s hand. Kai stepped forward, disbelief etched on his face. "What war?" Luna whispered. The Queen’s expression darkened. "The Devourer has risen. And only the bearer of twin blood—the Heartstone and the Blood Moon—can halt him."

The air held its breath, Kael writhed inside the ink-prison, slamming his fists against liquid walls that absorbed his screams. Liolai stood frozen at the center of a crumbling battlefield, Ashen unconscious behind her, the Queen Rewritten bleeding shards of memory at her feet, and the Ink-Eater looming, mouth open like an unending wound. And then, the Queen spoke again, softly this time. Almost gently. “One life or all. Choose, daughter of the dead.”

Queen Elisa returned to her seat. Headmaster Daio picked up the scroll and opened it. He cleared his throat. "Hwā of the Kingdom of Demetrius hereby declared that the Krystalline Academy's Annual Tournament will not happen now that the Blood Star finally reappeared. The Krystalline Palace, however, will re-institute the search for the Knights of Bellatrix through the Selection Tournament three years from now. The tournament shall go through five levels and will end with one winner. This time, the one who will emerge with highest favor from the 27th Blood Star shall take..." The headmaster paused and turned to the queen who just nodded. "Shall take the hand of the crown prince or the princess

She forced her breathing to steady and lifted her shoulders, trying to gather the dignity she had left. “I will remember this,” she said, her voice thin but steady. “When I stand beside Eric as your Luna and future queen, I will remember how you treated me.” The girls rolled their eyes. “You will never be queen,” one said. “Not without a wolf. Not without strength. Even Eric knows that.” Suddenly, Riley felt the earth shift beneath her feet. She did not reply. She could not. Her throat had closed up, her emotions tangled too deeply to untangle in front of them.

"Well since you know how dangerous I can be, let me introduce myself. I am the Dragon Queen. This is my palace. Thorne is my mate. You are nothing. A bitch from the past who has overstayed her welcome. If you ever cross my path again, if you ever speak to me again, you will get more than a burned neck. Do you understand?" I released her. She stumbled back, clutching her red, blistered neck, her face pale with terror. She couldn't even speak. She just turned and ran down the hallway. I closed the door, my heart pounding, but my hand was steady. Later that night, I stood by my window. The air was cool on my skin. She deserved it, Veylara said, her voice satisfied. She challenged us, Seris agre

"And you're nothing more than she was, you might have her eyes and her face and even her powers but you have none of her strength. She at least put up a real fight before the end." “But you?” She looked at me with distaste. “You're not even worth a third of my strength, so you'd better leave now that I'm giving you the chance” I laughed at that. “You're giving me a chance? From what I've heard you're not the type to give second chances, what changed?. She mouth started moving softly, when her brows creased and her face turned bitter and she stepped back coughing out dark red blood. She moved back again and started gasping, as she held her throat, I walked towards her but she kept backing awa

With a snarl of frustration, the Evil Queen grabs Teago's hand, her grip tight and unyielding. In a burst of dark energy, they vanish from their previous location, reappearing in front of Tonya and Alaric in a whirlwind of shadows and smoke. As they materialize before their adversaries, the queen's eyes blaze with fury, her anger a palpable force radiating from her every pore. She releases Teago's hand, her gaze locked on Tonya and Alaric with a mixture of hatred and determination.

Master Kai nodded solemnly “You will need to find a place deeply connected to your past self—somewhere Zenobia’s spirit touched the earth. Only there can the ritual succeed.” He hesitated for a moment before adding, “There is a ruin deep within the Forest of Silvermist… where the queen formed the bond with her dragon. That land still carries the remints of her power. It will recognize you.” Elena nodded in understanding as she said “I understand.”

“Oh, but you are. You are the reason I must finish what they tried to bury. You are my blood.” Blood? I blinked. “What...?” “We share the same blood,” she said again. “And you will help me take revenge. You will finish what I started.” The heat from my mark radiated all the way through my chest. My knees trembled. I didn’t understand any of this. “I—I don’t even know what that means,” I stammered. “You will.” She reached toward me, and I flinched. “No!” I jerked back, shaking my head. “You’re insane!”

The crown hits the marble floor with a sharp clang just before my father’s body does. The hall erupts in screams. I want to shout, to rush over to him, but my voice sticks in my throat. All I can do is watch the blood pool beneath his throne, creeping toward me. The soldiers kneel, but not for the king—for her. Queen Lunice, my grandmother. “Long live the Queen,” they chant, their voices hollow and obedient. Her eyes meet mine. Those dark, ancient, endless eyes hold me in place across the years. “No male heir shall survive,” she whispers. “The curse has already begun.”
