Until You Regret
She lowered her head, her hands intertwined.
Grace climbed down from Shane's lap and approached the woman with a warm smile.
"Raise your head, I can't see your face." Grace motioned for the woman to look up by touching her chin.
"Excuse me, ma'am," the woman apologized in a weak, trembling voice.
"You don't need to apologize, because you did nothing wrong. Don't call me ma'am, my name is Grace," Grace said very kindly.
"I don't know anything. If my husband did something wrong, please forgive me," the woman said with tears in her eyes. She looked at Grace with a hopeful gaze. There was immense fear reflected in her eyes. There was also pain, which Grace could detect in her expression.
