I dressed and headed out to find my mate, still wanting to punch someone. Talya and Mase were fighting an intense mock battle. I watched the two of them twist and tumble in a flowing dance of offense and defense. Talya could fight. She could also take a punch and that caused my second problem. He was too close and he caused her pain. Fur and muscle split the sweats I'd put on. I barely noticed anyone when I exploded into the center of their circle. Mase went flying and I was on him before he had a chance to defend himself. I saw red and wanted his blood soaking my muzzle.

He was in his prime, and I had absolutely no interest in ever fighting with him. I didn't think even Ray could have taken him, and Ray was one of the most natural fighters I'd ever met. He was trying to teach me to be the same way, and it was going alright. Breathing heavily and loudly Morgan pushed the flower vase on the floor as she couldn't control her anger. He glanced up towards the man before his wife. “The reason it’s not a Holy War is that we don’t have the spear that killed Jesus. Nor do we have the chalice and we’re not battling in the Holy City.” He felt Ava’s hand laced into one of his, allowing him to explain further. “A Spirit War is what we’re in the middle of, fighting for the souls of this world.” He glanced around the room. “But it seems that he wants to have a war here in Spokane.”
