Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

Sure enough, he saw the blue fog outside recede like a tide, withdrawing all at once. The entire Wraith Graveyard fell silent once more. Andrew asked, "How often does this tide appear?" Rosemary replied flatly, "So, you're not completely stupid. At least you're asking the important questions. Fine, I might as well tell you. The Cerulean Tide appears roughly every three hours, but it doesn't happen every day. I haven't figured out the pattern yet." Andrew ignored the veiled insult in her words and continued, "How long have you been inside here?"

Reynir Kjartansson
Very good story and the ending was relatively good since each part of the story give a obvious closure. The audio book is also available the whole story. Other authors should follow this example. There is nothing worse than a forced ending or a cut off story, so this story gets all stars, great job!

Summer Waves

Summer Waves

He was convinced he would die that night. His feet got tangled in his net. The strong waves made it impossible for Carl to free himself, and he drifted, battered by the waves, losing control. In his resignation, Carl saw something glowing swimming toward him. It weaved gracefully under the water, with a blueish glow, looking beautiful. When it got closer, the creature's hand reached for Carl, but it wasn't like a human hand. Between its fingers were delicate webs, and its nails were long, like claws that seemed capable of tearing through anything. It cut the net, rope entangled around his leg.

A Queen Among Tides

A Queen Among Tides

Seems like something a King would do if you ask me. We follow the procession down to the shores of Atlesper where Eisa, Thanos and many of the remaining guards are lined up, some holding the banners of our kingdom. My mother and father step forward, stretching out their right hands as sections of the surface of the water take a solid rectangular shape and rise into the air. Cole and Andromeda’s families step forward and place each litter down onto the solid water platforms and step back. My parents turn to face everyone with sombre expressions, and I can tell my mother has been crying.

Another amazing book! I feel as though each book is my favorite in this series and I love the representation. This particular author has an amazing way of challenging vernacular and using it to empower her characters. Her world building has you vested in the outcome of the story and characters.

Another excellent book! I couldn't put it down that I finished reading it in a day. anxiously waiting for book 6 to finish--not a fan of cliffhangers:) Or I may go back and re-read the series while I wait.

Rise Of The Abandoned Bride

Rise Of The Abandoned Bride

"Do you want to drown? Is that what you want? Huh!" My chest heaved. "I want to fight back. I won't just run forever." "Then learn when to pick your battles, Serah!" His roar made the boat vibrate. "This is not the right moment for reckless decisions." Before I could answer, a hound launched from the bank, its body hitting the boat with a sickening crack. I screamed as claws scraped the wood. Tristan stabbed the oar straight through its chest, shoving it back into the water, then the river turned red.

No Tide for Yesterday

No Tide for Yesterday

Miles away, on a luxury yacht— A man in a floral shirt stared at the feed, now washed into blue static. He blinked, then whistled low. “Well, someone’s got attitude.” He replayed the captured second of footage. Freeze frame. Blood-red sunset. A woman, hands crimson, standing among jagged rocks as a whale pod vanished in mist. Violence and mercy. Death and rebirth. “Mermaid?” He lowered his sunglasses, revealing amused, peach-blossom eyes. “No. That’s a siren.”

THE LOST TIDE KING

THE LOST TIDE KING

Kiyomi’s fingers closed around Hayate’s. His jaw shifted. “No.” Grandmother looked at me. “If the ocean remains still until dawn, every tide bound soul will disappear.” My echoes. Astraya. Azure Tide. Possibly me. The glass device shouted again. A new voice cut through the rest. “Storm systems collapsing over three continents.” “Air temperatures are rising along the equator.” “Emergency councils request contact with Silvercrest.” “Someone tell us what the Tide Queen has done.” The words landed across the avenue.

Reborn To Rise

Reborn To Rise

I touched my face, and my eyes landed on the calendar. 2016? “Mum... are we not in 2026?” “2026? Are you crazy?” “You have an interview this morning, remember? I've made breakfast. Get dressed and come downstairs quickly, okay?” “Hmmm.” I flashed her a smile as I slumped onto the bed. I thought I died... What happened? My mind flashed back to that moon. Could it be the light? I remembered making a wish. Could it be that the heavens heard me?

I replied the cool breeze touching my skin and he nodded leaning back in the chair. "Did you get the car?" I asked Spain softly. "Yeah Taj and I picked it up earlier," "Imma text you when she's at work so you guys can drop it off," I told them wanting to surprise her and he nodded allowing silence to fall between us. "It's vipers you know?" Taj announced after a few seconds of no words being exchanged. "I figured," I replied as a yawn left me involuntarily. "What do you want to do about it?" Dice questioned.
