No one even read in this corner. Slowly, I pushed myself up, making my way towards it. My hands shook as I opened it. Two words. Found you. No name. No symbol. Just the curve of each letter—neat, intentional. Not Nico’s script. Not Luca’s. Not Matteo’s. Something colder. Something older. The book slipped from my hand and hit the floor with a soft thump. I stood, heart hammering in my chest. Who the hell— I looked around. Slowly. The library remained empty.

I went back to my room and Seraphine and Clarissa were already waiting. Seraphine's breath hitched when she saw me walk in naked. She turned to the other side of the room, avoiding my gaze. “Oh, please. You're being a little dramatic.” I scoffed, a little too happy to care. “Already?” Clarissa arched her brow. I owed them no explanation. I kept silent. I just walked to the bathroom and cleaned myself up. Her heat still clung to me, her scent buried deep in my lungs. “What did Nuel find?” I questioned as I walked out dressed.

Now, everything he had said was slowly unfolding before my eyes. I shouldn’t wallow in regrets… right? I had my child with me. That was what mattered most now. Panic set in as I searched the shelf over and over again. Then it hit me—I hadn’t brought any of my books from the mansion. All the ones here were newly brought by Talon. Which meant… my novel was still at the mansion. “Fuck!” I cursed under my breath, clenching my fists tightly. “How do I get it now?”

And Maya, taking advantage of this, turned some into her maids and minions. After my encounter with Maya that day, I felt discouraged. In the shower, I pulled off my silk scarf and exposed the ugly, twisted scar on my neck. Morris had caused it. Ten years ago, in the spring, I couldn't reach him. Courtney had disappeared, too. I gritted my teeth and used the last bit of money I had to buy a cheap plane ticket to find him.

He answered, and his expression changed almost instantly. "Sebastian." "What?" "We found the man." The room went completely still. Her heart slammed against her ribs. "Where?" Nathan looked over at her. "Three blocks from here." Sebastian's whole body went rigid. "How did you find him?" "He wants us to." A cold silence settled over all three of them. "He left something behind," Nathan continued. "What?" "A photograph." He handed it over. Sebastian looked at it once, his jaw tightening, then turned it slowly toward Zara.

He must have thought of me as one, and that’s why he thought it wasn’t worth searching about me; he only did two weeks later when he discovered I had his shirt. Liam slipped his hand into his pockets and leant against the wall opposite me. “When I got into the bedroom and couldn’t find you, I asked my men to do some research about you,” he started, and I felt the knot in my stomach loosen. Because buried somewhere in chapter twenty-three of Sensational Devotion was a line I'd written at three in the morning. A line nobody was supposed to take seriously. A line spoken by a heroine waiting for a man she couldn't forget. "Find me." My heartbeat slammed against my ribs. His head tilted, eyes never leaving mine.As if he already seen the realization forming,like he'd known exactly which book to bring.

She'd disappeared into the night exactly the way she had disappeared out of my life years ago, only this time, she wasn't running alone. I stood there a moment, chest heaving slightly, staring at that closed door like it might open again if I willed it hard enough. I turned toward the curtained alcove where the girl had been hiding, some instinct pulling me back there before I'd even decided to go. A colouring book lay open on the floor, crayons scattered where small hands had dropped them in a hurry. And beside it, half-empty, a juice box with a straw still poking crookedly out of the top.

They both turned and looked at themselves before she took a space on the sofa opposite the bed, while Adrian sat back down, now the two of them were staring at me at the same time. I breathed a long sigh.....I was still glimmered. I had to let them know who I am, my stories are one of the saddest moments in my life. I have not been really happy in my entire life since I got consciousness at my tender age, it has always been from bad to worst. Adrian just saved my life some days ago and just really have to tell them who I am. * flashback*
