He took a swing and came up empty, but instead of getting mad, he just stood there looking like a kid who had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar, unsure of what to do next.

Fiona let out a soft laugh, the energy orb in her hand morphing into something new.
With a snap of her fingers, she sent it hurtling into his chest. "You've got it all wrong. It's not 'we'. It's 'me'."
