We turned together, back-to-back, as three mercenaries closed in. One raised a net. Nora’s fire burst outward, melting it mid-throw. I surged forward, claws tearing across armor, ripping through steel like parchment. Blood sprayed, hot and metallic, but the only heat I cared for was the blaze at my side.
