"I haven't seen you like this in so long, Reagan," Xander murmured, the amusement in his voice giving way to a profound, overwhelming whole body sigh of relief. He brushed a stray lock of hair behind from her face, his thumb gently tracing her cheekbone. The fierce Beta stripped away all his armor, leaving only the raw, vulnerable mate beneath. "I thought my Little Warrior was gone from me for good."

Xander glanced at Mikhail and pulled a grin, putting on a tough front despite his entire body feeling as if he had been thrown into a pit of flames and then immediately thrown into the cold mountains of the Snow Lucradis. Despite my bleariness... I should be able to strike them in a fluid motion. They probably think they've weakened me to the point where I can't get up... But... I won't give in! Not like I did back in the flames! Xander let out a deafening scream as he lunged towards the duo. He swung his sword against them from their side, expecting them to be caught unaware. His attacks were parried off easily, almost like they had anticipated his movements and were trained as soldiers as

made him rigid and predictable. Xander let out a roar that wasn't a sound, but a Frequency. Empowered by Evangeline’s insight, he broke through the "Kneel" command. He didn't just stand; he surged. He lunged at Malakor, his golden claws glowing with a combined sapphire tint. He didn't strike at the Elder’s body; he struck at the Aetherite Robes - the source of Malakor’s connection to the Nexus. "The world isn't a script you can write, Malakor!" Xander’s voice joined with Evangeline’s in a perfect, resonant harmony. "It’s a song that belongs to everyone!"

“Then what is it?” Xander fiddled with his hair, looking tormented. "Come on, Sir! I am Xander! Xander William!" Xander said tiredly, this time his gaze was fixed on Crystal. “It is not that I want to demean your daughter, but I am too good, almost like a God really, to even enter a contest just for a spoiled brat like her."

Today, the biting mountain frost was beginning to retreat, leaving the earth soft and yielding beneath the boots of a new generation. Xander stood at the center of the field. He wore no armor, only a simple, dark canvas tunic and durable trousers. His massive frame still cast a long, imposing shadow across the plateau, and the faint, pearlescent scars of his past battles were clearly visible on his forearms. Yet, the terrifying, coiled-spring tension that had once defined his every movement was entirely absent. He stood with his hands loosely clasped behind his back, his golden amber eyes sweeping over the forty young wolves gathered before him.

Before I could blink, or even so much as they to bring peace again, Xander stepped forward, pulling Emily tight against his side. He caught my eyes first, and I didn't miss the way he smiled, cruel and sharp, and with the council’s anger swelling behind him like a tide, he looked like he was finally in his own spot and kingdom, where he could unleash as much mayhem and violence as he wanted. “You see?” Xander said, his tone a perfect blend of mockery and righteousness. “This is what happens when traitors are given breath. He parades into our home with her at his side, and claims what was never his to take.”

“You too?” Xander shrugs in the nonchalant, elegant way that all of my brothers have. The way that makes she-wolves swoon over all three of them. “The human schools close for winter break, so here I am. Plus, I want to see who the lucky guy is that Emlyn identifies as her mate,” Xander says and I can tell that, just like me, he’s pretty sure that Emlyn and Rich are mates. I’ll be thrilled if it’s true. They make a good pair.
