Meanwhile, Thor and Celina stayed in New York, enjoying their time alone whenever they could. That afternoon, Celina sat in her home office, fingers flying over the keyboard as she typed the final lines of her first novel. Her heart was racing, tears threatening to spill as she wrote the emotional ending. When she finally typed the last sentence, she leaned back, exhaling deeply — relief and pride washing over her all at once. She had done it. Her first book was complete. Still emotional, she heard her phone ring. The caller ID surprised her — Emma Callahan. “Hello, Celina. I hope I’m not disturbing you,” Emma’s soft voice said.

Their paw prints were stamped onto the page beside it. Wolves, Bears and Lions had been the first three, but the image showed a fourth beneath the three enormous prints. It was a Fox print. "Foxen were the first kind created by the Goddess," Dan read, his finger trailing the writing that topped the page in Lycan. "The following Shifters designed after, to protect the Goddesses most precious gift to her creations." I giggled. "It doesn't say that. Lycan is a dead language." I didn't know much, but I knew that. It was the Shifter equivalent to Latin.

Dara was seen catching her breath, then handed over the paper she had written on. (Sorry, I fell asleep after trying what you bought me. Oh yes, thank you,) (Sorry again, because I overslept, you have to cook.) Mona read the row of sentences. After finishing, she looked at Dara with a smile that was always etched on her lips. She pulled Dara to sit near the dining table and the woman quickly turned around and started setting the dishes. "Let's eat!" Mona said and pulled out a chair for him to sit on, but she spooned food for her husband and son first.

Ava's POV The first thing I felt was weight. Not the kind that pressed on my chest from nightmares, but a heavy stillness that seemed to stretch through my bones and muscles, like I had been asleep for years. My eyelids fought against the faint stream of sunlight filtering in through the curtains, but when I finally managed to open them, the room swam into focus. I was in my bed. My room. The familiar carved headboard above me, the heavy quilt drawn to my waist, the scent of lavender candles long burned out. My breath came shallow, weak, as if I had only just clawed my way back from drowning.

Elijah and Nate were my friends but they took the initiative, should I make a friend on my own? Inhaling deeply, I turned to look at him but paused. What do I even say? Do I say hello? Do I praise him? Elijah was a little rude in the beginning and Nate begin with praising himself and then pulled my cheeks. "He- omg is that a marvel notebook?" I squealed quietly, looking at the notebook dazedly. If you don't know, I'm a big Marvel fan! The boy looked at me with wide eyes looking down at me with a happy expression.

The silver thread glimmered like a dying star between my fingers as I pulled the final stitch. I had spent weeks carving a masterpiece out of a mess, breathing life into a gown that was little more than a hand-me-down from Nora, the chief maid. It was a relic of the royal palace, salvaged from the scrap heap of a life I was never meant to lead.

All I had was a vivid imagination, a notebook (or keyboard), and the desire to bring my characters to life. This was my very first full-length novel—my entry into the world of storytelling. I poured my heart into it, creating plots and personalities that may have been messy, overly dramatic, or unrealistic in places, but they were real to me. And despite its flaws, I chose not to rewrite this entirely, because it stands as a reminder of how I began. Of how stories shaped me. You may find imperfections in the pacing, dialogue, character decisions, or plot. You may even find scenes that make you raise your eyebrows. But every line came from a place of growth, curiosity, and love for writing.
