She needed to remember the chain of events that led to her waking up naked in a field at the edge of the woods. Had she gone home from the club and sleepwalked? Or had something sinister occurred? She just didn’t know.

Chapter 1: The Awakening In the heart of the ancient forest of Eldoria, where shadows danced among the towering trees, a young woman stirred from a deep slumber. Her name was Elara, and she had been lost in a dreamless sleep for centuries, trapped within the embrace of an enchanted grove. As she opened her eyes, the world around her seemed both familiar and foreign. The air was thick with the scent of moss and magic, and the soft glow of twilight filtered through the canopy above. Memories flooded back to her, fragmented and elusive, like shards of a broken mirror.

Somewhere above, the pack went about their lives, unaware that in this hole, their Alpha was trying to extract something from a woman who had nothing left to give. It's like she has cleaned out the cobwebs of her soul. Things just seem to make sense, like her love for her friends, her sense of duty, and the overwhelming feeling of lost purpose. This is what Anna was talking about; this is how she should see the world, her rebirth. Anything is possible. She is possible. She is alive.

The woman raises a perfectly sculpted brow, skepticism etched into every line of her ageless face. "I had her," Isabella insists, desperation bleeding into her tone. "She was breaking, coming apart at the seams. I could feel her essence fragmenting beneath my will. But then something... awakened within her. This was white like bone, like frost, like the first bite of winter. Her face was veiled, her hands gloved in leather, and yet her presence pulsed like a second heartbeat against mine. I explain to her as she keeps staring at her hands. “You know the cause of The Witnesses, and you did not represent that, you needed to be dealt with,” I add, causing her to finally raise her head and look me in the eye. “So who gives you the right to deal with me?” She laughs humorlessly. “The Witnesses is about women who have been hurt and mistreated by men and love; you were cheating on your husband!” I say loudly, and I notice that my words have the desired effect on her. She looks broken.
