The ice hockey complex was chaos. Flames licked up the far side of the rink, black and violent, crawling along the reinforced beams like living things. Fire met ice in a hissing scream, steam billowing upward in blinding clouds. Sprinkler wards were active—but failing. The flames weren’t reacting like normal fire. They were feeding. On magic.

Since then, this flame was not on the verge of dying out." "Wait." Maddie even put her hand up to stop Theo from speaking. "What does the war have to do with the flame? Is the war about putting water in it?" Maddie was serious but Theo chuckled on her question which made her brows knot.

Her throat and tongue were also hurt by the fire. "That thing... It shouldn't be in here." Santi murmured." That fire. That flame. The one that the Viscount's family used was the Flames of Gehenna. The Flames of Gehenna were the most dangerous of all the fires. And only a handful of people could control the Flames of Gehenna. Truthfully, if the Flames of Gehenna were used, everyone would be devoured and nothing would remain. With just a whisp of the wind, a small Flames of Gehenna could expand depending on the wind that was controlled.

Flame said and looked at Cisco. She smiled sadly. "This look on your face.. That's what I was so scared of seeing. What now? You're going to hate me just like everyone hates Amour huh? My battered flesh suit couldn't contain the flames anymore, and unleashed them in a dome of swirling flame. All of that heat--every ember, every flame. It was being ripped from the very cells it had charred, from the muscle and nerves it had devoured. A lightshow of reds, oranges, and yellows danced behind my eyes. Even the Game Master's brother had been ripped away, blasted into the far wall where he twitched and spasmed. Pieces of his clothing burned away, continuing to devour the dry fabric.

It hasn’t rained in at least a week, the forest is very dry. For a moment the flames dance in a way that makes me think they are trying to tell a story. I shake my head but the flames continue to form the shape of people. Suddenly the people begin the run from a darkness that makes the flames disappear for a moment. What is going on? The smoke fills my lungs and I begin to gasp for air. I look up, the smoke in the sky is black and thick. The smell of burnt pine is making it hard to breathe.

“I don’t even wanna think about that, he whispered back and continued aloud… let’s just leave her behind and go ahead with the game” They all left her behind like she insisted, Bruno was the last person to leave the area because he wanted to make sure that she was in good situation before joining others. Now, they would have to play the game in singles instead of pairing in twos. “You guys already know the rules of the game, we will spin a bottle, whoever gets spotted by the angle of spin will be the one to seek whereas, the rest hides”, Bruno instructed. “Please, let’s not go too far to avoid one missing”, Ella advised.
