I absolutely refused to face the fact that my shoulder wound wasn’t healing—or that the cold had encompassed my shoulder entirely.
“You activate it with a word.” She whispered, turning the bottle in her hands.
Written on a stained slip of paper, taped to the bottle, was the word; ‘Flamia’.
“Alright—let’s do this. I don’t have much energy left, Rayna’s completely drained.” I told her, hating the guilt that burned in my gut.
“I can draw them away, Rachel. I’ve been trailing after you. You’ve gained nearly every librarians attention.”
Helena replied with a brave smile. “I’ve got this, alright? Trust me, and let’s get the hell out of here.”
