Still, the image of Flynn’s expression the night at the lab, the flicker of hurt when I’d asked why he wanted to impress me, keeps looping in my mind like a broken recording.
I should fix him tonight. He’s been glitching more often lately, and whatever’s causing it might be tied to that corrupted code or the email I couldn’t decrypt. I’ll deal with that after work, I promise myself as I push open my office door.
And then I freeze.
