Ed had to comfort Ruby with a proposal—something that couldn't be repeated. "Yes." Ruby nodded, barely able to speak. It was difficult for her to feel pity or sadness, but when she saw Liz wiping tears from her face, Ruby froze. Sympathy. It was difficult not to feel sympathetic when those tears were on a face so similar to her own. Ruby understood immediately. Liz possessed only Esli, just as she possessed only Jade. Ruby would be devastated if their places were reversed and Jade was lying there. Ruby approached, knelt down, and placed a bouquet of white lilies she had brought. It stood out among the red roses. She had picked the flowers at random earlier.

Kim clenched her teeth in annoyance as she glared at how Jaxon tightened his hold around Ruby and pulled her impossibly closer. “Yes Kim, maybe we can go together next time,” Ruby added with a sweet smile as Jaxon led her out of the room. Ruby happily took in her surroundings as Jaxon helped her walk through the wide expanse of the house. They walked through the garden and Ruby felt her insides melt as the sweet scent of different flowers wafted through the air. She smiled as they passed through the arrays of daisies, roses, and daffodils that danced gracefully in the gentle breeze.

His reverie was interrupted when she turned around to face him. "Prince Aurelius, you're finally here." she smiled. Too formal. He thought but didn't point it out and only replied with his own smile. "Hello, Ruby. Sorry, I'm a bit late. Here I got you this." he said before handing her the bouquet of middlemist red, that is the rarest and most expensive plant he could find in the empire.

Chapter 1: "Save Me," ───── ❝ T H I R D P E R S O N ' S P O V ❞ ───── "Fuck off, you bastards!" With her crimson hands grappling on the steering wheel, Ruby silently cursed while glancing at her rear view mirror. Her bloodshot orbs was now wide opened, tears dangerously dangling within its edges. Her once enchanting face had bruised all over, and her whole body were tremendously shaking.

Winry smiled innocently, with a hint of anticipation in her eyes. "Well, I've prepared..." Frank hesitated for a moment, then reached behind and fetched something. Red petals adorned with glistening droplets. Plump and vibrant. It was a beautiful rose. Frank held out the flower. "Winry, I searched for a long time. This one bloomed the most beautifully. I hope you like it." His eyes flickered. "But I wanted to say... Winry, you're far more beautiful than this flower. I, I..." Frank stumbled over his words.

The veins on his neck popped up as pure, unadulterated lust pooled in them. Just a mere innocent touch of her virgin lips incited a swirl of fatal desire inside him. Meshing their lips together, Adrian didn't give her time and started devouring her. Those pink, beautiful petals resembled juicy fresh cherries. Even being dry, they couldn't hide their ripeness and quell his urge to taste them.

The petals drifted around them like delicate pink snow. Hector turned toward her, ready to speak, but Ruby reached into her bag first. “I have something for you,” she said, pulling out two bottles. One had a red lid. The other, blue. She placed the red-lidded bottle in front of him. “This one’s for you,” she said softly. “I made it myself.” She unscrewed the cap of the bottle with the blue lid and brought it to her lips, taking a long sip. Then she set it down, smiling. “It’s the surprise I promised you.”

A white rose lay on the floor dripping with blood. A small, shiny blade lay beside it. A beautiful object in such a terrible and painful condition. The blood stain on it did not hide it's immaculate and beautiful nature. She puffed smoke in the air and took a sip of the liquor beside her, as she glared at the bleeding rose with sad and anguish filled eyes, it told a lot about her and her agony. She was as beautiful as the rose in front of her.

I wasn't about to wreck a home. "So dumb." I wipe my eyes on my knees, but the tears don't stop. I look up and can see people making their way through the trees towards me. I sniff and rest my chin on my hands. My eyes trail down, and through my blurry vision, I can see dozens and dozens of flowers blooming around me. I furrow my brow, wiping at my eyes again and moving to sit on my knees and crouch over the flowers. I hadn't wiped my hands on the ground, but they were still blooming. Pink ones, purple, white. Still smaller than a quarter, but slightly bigger than the last ones I made bloom. And there were a lot more of these too. They continued to appear around where I sat as I watched.

Ruby let out a cold laugh. “Whatever his reason, it’s certainly not because he’s interested in a married woman who’s already been pregnant.” Summer fell silent. Ruby’s eyes gleamed with calculation. “As for why he’s helping her…” She paused deliberately. “Men,” she scoffed. “All that brotherhood nonsense? In front of real interests, it’s nothing but smoke and mirrors.” In Ruby’s view, Felix must have his eye on something Evan controlled. Getting close to Stella was just a distraction tactic.
