Flowers In The Attic 2014 の小説・ストーリー

I say, panning over the countertops and the large, dining space bathed in natural light with huge windows. “It’s gorgeous,” Cass says. “You’re going to make this place amazing. Like this cottage.” “Thanks,” I say, climbing the stairs to the second floor. “But it’s going to take some work.” When I reach the steep, narrow staircase leading to the attic, I pause. “There’s an attic up there stuffed full of old stuff.” I point the phone up the attic stairs. “The kids are dying to explore it, but I told them they have to wait until I check it out first.”

The remnants of her mother’s and father’s lives beckoned her from the attic, like sirens calling her to uncover the secrets hidden within their old belongings. With a deep breath, Aqua climbed the creaking stairs to the attic. Dust motes danced in the beams of sunlight streaming through the small window, and the air was thick with the scent of aged paper and wood. She rummaged through boxes filled with forgotten memories, her heart racing with anticipation.

She believes she is successful in making some progress with it. "You are very young my child. And you have your whole life awaiting you with blissful events. Trust me on this." Agatha placed a small kiss on her forehead affectionately earning a subtle smile from her. Rose made themselves a pistachio latte and brought it to the backyard garden. She had grown various flowers like chrysanthemums, lilies, orchids and some pink tulips in there. Agatha, being a flower shop owner, and Rose, a lover of plants, were a golden match indeed. Agatha's small flower shop has increased its sales rapidly with the help of Rose's dedication and knowledge behind the curtains. Everyone around Rose is to be benef

Chapter 87: Blue Hydrangeas The atmosphere at the garden party was cheerful. It brimmed with the warmth of the midday sun and the vibrant hum of people's laughter and chatter. The estate's sprawling yard was alive, dotted with tables adorned with bright, freshly picked flowers and a spread of delicious food. The smell of roasted meats, buttered rolls, and fruit tarts lingered in the breeze, adding to the cozy ambiance.

I couldn’t hold back my tears at the sight of my own body. I stepped forward and gently brushed my hand over my face. The faint trace of tears still lingered on my skin. Before I could fully process what was happening, Lucas lunged toward me, frantically clearing away the flowers around my body. His voice was shaking, almost desperate. “Clara has asthma... there can’t be flowers in the house. The pollen will make her sick. Why would you surround her with flowers?”

“You can look up there. Maybe it’s there.” *** The attic was colder than I had expected. The air was thick with dust, the scent of old wood and dust lingered. Mara coughed softly, waving a hand through the haze. We worked in silence, opening different boxes and shifting through stacked photo frames of weddings, pack events and festivals. Elder Summers’ past stared up at us in frozen faces. “I don’t see anything that dates back to that time,” Mara said after a while, her tone frustrated. “Just a lot of old memories and people who probably all hate each other now.”

She trudged up five flights, kicked her boots off inside, and froze. Something felt… off. She closed the door behind her slowly. The apartment was still. Not quiet — still. Air too heavy. The smell of something floral. Faint. Sweet. Wrong. Her eyes drifted to the bookshelf. The flower was back. No — flowers, plural. Two of them now. Deep crimson. Growing directly from the spine of Sea Glass Psalms, like they had rooted themselves into the poetry. No pot. No soil. Just… existing. Aria moved closer, slowly.

Beautiful if someone liked cold steel, icy desserts and a thrill of falling from a cliff, only to land in freezing water. We walked to the back, the atmosphere here was quiet and the décor changed from just white to shades of cream with golden and red splashes. A woman who looked to be in her late thirties approached us and introduced herself, “Hi, I’ll be the one assisting you. My name is Flora.” “Flora, bring out your latest collection,” Allister’s honey eyes dropped to my sneakers and he said, “And also something for my girl’s pretty feet.” I paused. But when I glanced at him, he was looking at Flora.

"It’s a bit... tight, Lila. I hope His Majesty doesn't mind sharing a bed that doesn't have a remote control. It’s the only room left." "Tight" was an understatement. The attic room had slanted, low ceilings with exposed oak beams that Adrian had to duck under just to move. There was a single, heavy oak bed that looked like it had been handed down through five generations, covered in a thick, handmade floral quilt. A small window stood open, letting in the sound of crickets and a cool breeze that carried the scent of night-blooming jasmine.

It’s a photo of long wooden tables under olive trees, strings of lights twinkling overhead, and simple white flowers in mismatched glass bottles. “That’s my favorite,” I say before I can stop myself. Mia grins. “Of course it is,” she says. “It’s ‘sad girl goes cottagecore.’” “It’s pretty,” I protest. “It is,” Luca agrees. “It’s also the one we can actually pull off without causing an aneurysm in your florist.” “The florist deserves it,” Mia mutters. “He called baby’s breath ‘whimsical.’” “You *are* whimsical,” I say. “You just hide it under eyeliner.”
