The Tyrant Emperor and his Eccentric Mage

The Tyrant Emperor and his Eccentric Mage

She jumped off the bed and rushed towards the window, pressing her hands against the glass as she stared up at the colourful beaked creatures. They were much bigger than pigeons and maybe even seagulls. With a body that slithered through the sky like a snake, but so much more enchanting. Misty coloured dust left behind them as they flew away. "What are those?" She asked mostly to herself, but heard that gender-less voice answer. "Birds. Have you never seen them before?" She felt a laugh bubble in her throat, she turned as she began, "Oh I've seen birds and they don't-" her voice caught in her throat as she looked at a creature she had never seen before.

Fantasy's Eden

Fantasy's Eden

“Fantasy?” Came the uncertain inquiry through the bullhorn that sounded out loudly amongst the hustle and bustle of the crowded pier. Raising my hand I picked up my duffel bag and began making my way forward. As I walked the men about me stared. They always stared. It was kind of nice and yet annoying at the same time. It didn’t help that my Russian born mother so enamored with her relocation to a new and in her eyes, ‘fantasy land’ of America had named me as such.

Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

Finally, she saw two tiny black specks high up in the sky. “Birds?” she asked hopefully. Rave shook his head. “I don’t think so. They’re not flying like any birds I’ve ever seen.” Leesa didn’t like the sound of that. If they weren’t birds, then just what were they? In any event, she hoped it was just coincidence that they were flying in their direction. As the creatures flew closer, Leesa could finally see the wings, which flapped in a slow, sweeping motion. “They look like small dragons,” Rave said. “Small being a relative term—they’re at least as big as a person. Their bodies are covered in scales.”

What happened to the original writer of this book? The new writer is a far cry from the first one in terms of style, creativity, dialogue and story telling. He has turned a once very arresting story into a very boring one. It is sad.

Rise of the cardinal

Rise of the cardinal

I wanted to shut my eyes, but I couldn’t. I had not regained control over myself. I was high in the sky. My fear of falling to the ground made me pray for a safe landing. I didn’t know how it was possible for me to even fly. I had never noticed wings on my back before, but remembering what I saw in the memory orb of my father, I knew Faiths had translucent and delicate paper-like wings. They looked like those of a dragonfly. I must have had them as well.

THE PRICE OF WENDY

THE PRICE OF WENDY

She turned towards Orea, “You were saying– where do we start? You answer that yourself, you’re the native here, you know where the best attractions are,” Orea smiled and nodded, looking up, skywards “Our rides are here now.” Eureka followed Orea’s gaze upwards and she gasped, “Flying unicorns—Oh— good God! The pair of milk white flying unicorns landed on the stone floor with the sound of clopping hoofs. Their huge white wings folded neatly as they neighed like normal horses. “Can’t we just fly?” Eureka asked looking at Orea. “I can’t fly,” Orea said shaking her head. “We all can’t fly, only the queen can fly.”

THE HABITAT

THE HABITAT

Josh_Baudelairehorizonssurvivalhunter
She shouted towards, Jessie and the others, immediately ran on the pathway above the earth wall, towards Ivan. Belle leaped above and grabbed the others with her webs, carrying them all. "This will be a bumpy ride." She then leaped and walked in a fleeting speed with her eight legs that can climb any wall in sight. The earth wall in the South did not collapse for the enemies had been given the ability to fly, with their wings. Suddenly, instead of going towards the hive, the butterfly monsters pursued where the others ran. Belle saw the flying monsters flew towards them; their colored wings were so elegant that you it can mislead you to think that they're creatures of goodness. Beauty really

Gateway Trilogy Complete-Book 1,2,3

I grinned and excused myself to go and clean up. Once in my room, there was a gift sitting on my bed. I went over and opened it. It was a small framed portrait of what looked like a great black horse with wings, and it had a head like the cross of a seahorse and dragon, the mane and tail looked feathery, but I wouldn’t know until I was to see one. The animal was magnificent. The card read, 'One day I will take you for a ride on my tayren. That is what the flying animals are called on our worlds. Hope we can be friends.'
