Five huge winged beasts were flying in the sky, with a terrifying presence suggesting they were high-ranking creatures. Iris was stunned by the sight. She turned her gaze toward Gabriel, who was smiling at her calmly. He answered her unspoken question: “These are Phantom flying beasts from an ancient lineage, a symbol of our empire.” He looked toward the beasts that landed on the ground waiting for his orders.

My mind was on Camille the whole time I was in my office. Ever since she came into my life, I realized I've been distracted quite a lot, which is unusual for me. Fear licked its way up my spine, seeing dark shadow creatures attacking us. But no one was shifting or trying to kill them. It was useless as killing them just increased their numbers.
