With a smile that looked more like a noose. “I see you brought your temper,” he said. Cruz didn’t smile back. “You said you had something for me.” “Oh, I do.” From behind Rafe, a figure stepped forward. Covered in blood. Limping. It took Cruz a second to recognize the face. Blade, his brother. Bruised and beaten. He was barely still alive. “What the hell—” Cruz started, stepping forward. Two Vultures moved fast, blocking his path. Rafe raised his hand lazily. “Let him through. He deserves a front-row seat.”

Dominus and Lucia joined us too and Mara looked up at them unlike when Maureen and I arrived. 'Mara, I know that there must be a reason you killed the Gamma. He stumbled backwards, heart pounding wildly, as he turned to run. But the brother appeared before him in a blink. Not a teleport. He moved so fast that Harrison’s mind couldn’t register the transition. Harrison gasped and instinctively summoned another shield, but the brother merely snorted—a soft, amused exhale. The shield shattered instantly, shards of spiritual energy flickering away into dust. “S–such power…” Harrison whispered, trembling. “W-who are you?”

I rebuked immediately before looking at each and every one of them, “You're my family. We fight together, we die together. The one that points the gun at the same person I'm pointing a gun at, that's my family. One who stands by me and fights for me, that's my family. I don't know any other brothers aside from you guys. Raymond ceased to be my brother the day he killed ma'am Marian!”

I grinned at Jackson. “Sure, you go ahead.” “Thanks!” I hugged him and pecked his cheek, I turned around doing the same to Finn before leaving them. Or so they thought. I was just around the corner from the kitchen hoping to hear them get along after I had left. After a slight silence my heart sank, I really had messed up this family. Then Finn spoke, “so what’s this about brother?” “I found some things out about Misha’s old pack and her mother, we need to protect her Finn. No matter if she chooses me or you or neither of us. And as the years went by, she forced herself to forget about it and move forward so that she could be the best daughter for her father.
