The Edge Of You

The Edge Of You

I added, the heavy silence suddenly making my skin prickle with embarrassment. I shifted in my seat, my chest tightening. Maybe I had overstepped. Maybe rich people found it insulting when a stranger just bought them random food. His sudden coldness was making me regret the entire thing. I picked up my black coffee, taking a slow sip just to give my hands something to do. Then, Leonard reached out and picked up his small metal fork. He sliced off a neat piece from the edge of the cake and brought it to his mouth, chewing quietly. A sudden wave of relief washed through my chest, the awkward tension in my shoulders instantly melting away.

Nanny and Her Four Alpha Bullies

Why is he looking at me like he wants to plow me through the mattress? Then I remember the book, and one pleasantly torturous little word comes to mind. Edging.

Tammy Abadie
It’s frustrating when an author starts a new book and posts it chapter by chapter yet never finishing all the other books she has posted. As of count now there are 7 completed books and 11 unfinished books. Not sure if she’s doing to make her readers mad or she’s ADHD and can’t focus. Very selfish!

What happened?? Why is this book not being updated?? I read for couple of months following regularly and all of a sudden you stop publishing, wasting my money, time and effort. This is totally unacceptable and wrong on your part.

The Third Book

The Third Book

"Just tell me." Ivy is used to Cela's lack of emotion. As her editor, she's mastered handling her so well. "Your second book is selling faster than the first one. Only three branches of the bookstore have not confirmed the final sales yet as of 5PM today but the other seven already did!" she told the first good news. "Really?" Cela asked in a casual tone but a smile shortly appeared on her face after realizing she's having a back-to-back success.

Pushed to the Edge of Life

Pushed to the Edge of Life

She had never cared enough to learn. When she was cooking, all she wanted was to outdo me. Frostsilver vine was excellent for removing the gamey taste and making meat more tender, so she had brought it in herself. Even Tobias hadn't known about it. Tobias felt a growing irritation. Ever since I left, everything had started falling apart. Still, he forced himself to suppress his own fraying temper and comfort a weeping Whitney. "It's not your fault. You didn't know. Cordelia shouldn't have left without saying a word. She should've at least left Nicholas' meal plan behind."

THE EDGE OF HEAVEN

THE EDGE OF HEAVEN

“I’ve lined up some places for us to look at today.” Cassandra followed him, glad of the distraction from her roiling emotions and hormones. “Places? What do you mean?” Since he wasn’t answering yet, she followed him into his light, airy study and looked around with interest. This was the first time she entered there. Shelves from floor to ceiling were packed with all sorts of books. A huge table stood in one corner, where he told her he sometimes held impromptu meetings. It was a center of energy, but Cassandra knew that once Sébastien walked out, the energy would dissipate. He was around the other side of his desk, and he gestured for her to come and have a look at something on the compute

Absolutely loved this intelligently written story that conveyed love doubt, fears, passion, mature adults who are trying to manuever into a new reality for the themselves personally, as well as, including another who is the object of their love and possible future life & potential happiness. 😍😚❤🔥

Picked this out to read again...yup, you will pick out Emma's books and reread them again & again! Love Cass & the path she takes to realize what she is capable of, when to trust and who she can love; most importantly, that she can be loved right back by a man with his own emotional story woven in.

Mr. Great Kisser

Mr. Great Kisser

I chuckled. "Fore-edge painting is... like a painting, or a form of painting, on the edge of the book, where we turn the book! In the end. So when the book is closed... it puts that part like a painting, yes it can be simple or complex... it's free, there are several genres.. like boho, simplicity to natural art... modern art? Yes, it's free! It's just like a medium there, so it adds to the function of the book too, if you put it there it can be a display." I explained.

Over the edge

I can play you songs and read you audiobooks…’ ‘Okay. Okay, Alexa. If you can’t get me to work or get me food, you’re pretty much useless.’ She jabbed. ‘Technically, I can order an uber and pizza. McDonald’s and Starbucks too.’ ‘This is so cool. Maybe, you could read me an audiobook just before I fall asleep tonight.’ ‘What kind of books do you like?’ the VA asked. ‘Young Adult, romance, horror, mystery, crime…’ ‘According to a recent survey, people who read lots of horror tend to act out what they read. Often times, they try to imitate the villain in the book and…’

Love and lies: Married to his enemy

Love and lies: Married to his enemy

The books on the shelf were neatly arranged but the frayed edges and the little tears on the bottom of most of the books gave out that they’d been read a couple times. Adrian didn't particularly strike me as someone who would love to read but I guess you can't always judge a person by their outward appearance. I traced my fingers along the spines, the titles ranging widely from classic literature, to mindset guides then to business strategy books. One title in particular caught my eye and I pulled it out : Good to Great by Jim Collins. I flipped through the pages not so sure of what I was looking for, because I wasn't interested in reading the book at the time, but it was an appropriate dist
