I walked past tall shelves and dusty corners, making my way toward the far end of the room. Elder Nyra had told me about the Book of Shadows. Said it held secrets about the moon and its connection to me. I had searched for it throughout the years but could never find it. I might as well check. I was scanning the shelves when I heard them. Voices. Two girls. Just behind the next aisle. “We have to go,” one said. “If we get caught—”

Seraphina’s POV The flames were dying. Ash curled upward in the suffocating dark of the library, thin spirals of smoke clinging to the vaulted ceiling like desperate prayers that refused to rise. The last of the glowing pages fell into cinders on the stone floor, and the light it had given us—the fragile, blessed shield—dissolved into nothing. Beyond that circle of dying fire, the monsters closed in, shadows weaving between bookshelves, claws dragging over wood and stone, eyes like fragments of the abyss.

If they would not back off, I would have to hand it all to Jennifer, every last bit of my hard-earned success and the mess she had made. With a heavy heart, I spilled my guts to my advisor. Her face ran the gamut from shock to fury, then settled on a look of deep compassion. "You do what you need to do," she said. "I've got your back." I nodded, my throat tight, and after ordering some custom glasses with a hidden camera, I boarded the train home. Before stepping inside, I flicked on the glasses' secret eye.

Its eyes were as red as blood and its presence gives a chilling and horrifying feel. “The two witch kids...have you heard about the prophecy?” The twins looked at each other being puzzled. “Oh, I see, I would be glad that I will be the one to tell your fate...” The evil of shadows made them confused. “...if one of you succeeds to become the ruler of the separate worlds, it will be the end of everything.” As Falla moved her pace to her brother trying to hide at her twin's back, Talon eventually vanished and was nowhere to be found. The evil of shadows moved closer in her direction. She feels heaviness and high tension as the evil comes closer and closer to her.

I let out a cry. The footsteps behind are louder and are moving faster. I look behind me in the darkened hallway, waiting for whatever’s behind me to appear in the yellow dim light. I wait there anxiously, the nerves in my body make me almost want to vomit. The footsteps stop just before the light, I still can’t see whatever it is as it waits in the darkness. No sound is heard, the air around grew intense, my nerves were all over the place as I stared into the darkness in front of me. Just then the light above blew out letting out a loud pop. From behind I can feel the presence of someone. I can feel someone breathing on the back of my neck as I sit there too terrified to look behind me. “We

The blackness of its feature stretched until they connected. It was only then that it stretched into a dome that covered all of them. At the same time, Sloane called upon her shadow who stretched in the basis of her shadow.
